Went down St. George’s Road the other day, passed shimuls, the sign is still up! 

F me, how long since that place closed? 

Had some good times in there, always pissed, last time I went in, four of us, stood up one by one to leave, threw our money in the tray like u do, walked out, last lad to stand up and leave,,,,,, grabbed the lot and shouted “Run!” 

It was a shame coz I t meant I could never go back

First curry house I ever went to, It changed my life. Think they won a few restaurants of the year awards but something changed and it went downhill. I might be wrong but I think it’s closed now.

I think it changed hands and was called summat else, but I can't remember for the life of me.

Then Shaheed bought it, and that's when it became Shaheed's.

Lovely people.

First went in there about 1990. Used to go at least once a week from 95 to 99. Often pick up a takeaway on way home.

Got barred from the one on St. George’s road after an unfortunate incident. i used to live behind it next to David Lloyd gym as well so it was handy 

sonar gaw was nice but the best for me was charcoal tandoori in Radcliffe. Tremendous

Leena Tandoori was convenient for every drunk in town to go to. I know, I staggered in enough times.

Used to be a belter next to halfords in Bury, can’t remember it’s bloody name

We also had a 30/40 man food fight in Jitar in little lever must have been about 15 years ago easily. 
 

I was on my hands and knees avoiding flying naan breads and dishes of sauce and tried to escape through the kitchen and a chef pulled a big machete type thing so back to the restaurant it was. All of us barred and if memory serves me right place was shut for 2days it was that bad. 
 

few lads who go to match and are well known were key instigators of it.

Nawaab is the worst curry house for me.

Far Pavilion used to be very good. Think it's called summat else now.
