I've not seen any articles criticising them but maybe I'm not looking hard enough. Thought it was done quite nicely today.. good to see some choosing just to have end racism messages & others supporting BLM who wanted to. Felt pretty inclusive. Sure you'll get a few trolls on Twitter spouting the race card but I don't see a situation where many folk think those who didn't kneel are racist. https://www.racefans.net/2020/07/05/no-driver-will-be-criticised-if-they-dont-take-a-knee-ricciardo/

Site Supporter RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted July 5, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted July 5, 2020 (edited) Does Hamilton have any idea of the history of Mercedes & one of his sponsors Hugo Boss? He can't have or he would not be taking their money obvs. Edited July 5, 2020 by RONNIE PHILLIPS

Has he expressed these before ? Yeah he’s a self righteous knobber most of the time. I admire him for his talent, He’s phenomenal, and the best there is, but I just can’t take to the guy. You said it seems a bit rich for someone of his stature (rich and with a privileged upbringing) to be joining the “BLM bandwagon”. Leaving the bandwagon comments to one side, that read to me like you were saying rich people shouldn’t be able to campaign that black lives matter because they won’t have suffered the same as those in ghettos. So, what you’re actually wanting to say is that rich people’s opinions don’t matter? Edited July 5, 2020 by Jol_BWFC

Site Supporter RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted July 5, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted July 5, 2020 Maybe he shouldn't take money from companies who made parts for gas Chambers & who made uniforms for the SS whilst endorsing the pulling down of statues in this country ( the country he contributes sweet fa to in taxes)? Its just my personal opinion.

In all honesty i find it's very easy for wealthy people to preach, it will never effect them, hence that his opinion is a bit shallow. “It will never effect them”. So you are saying that rich people can’t be affected by racism. I thought that was what you said first time round.

Interestingly, if blm were to realise their ambitions, LH would suddenly find his bank balance decrease by a good number of zeros. It's not unusual for him to say or do something a little controversial, but he's still magnificent at his job, and will get my support. Charlie can do one.. But I just wish sportsmen and musicians would take a back seat when it come to politics, 1: it must lose them fans, 2: it should really be about the sport or music. Still hoping Charlie wins, fantastic driver. Charlie won’t win a race this season. HIHF

He did put a tweet out earlier in the week which pissed off the other drivers along those lines though. Not sure it weakens the message if all the people taking a knee or doing so because they choose to as was the case with the drivers today. In hamiltons case, it starts with investigating why blacks dont find their way into motorsport We are not just talking about driving, theres 1000s of other roles He actually said, the outcome might be that we find out that they dont have any interest in motorsport But, he thinks its worth him providing funding to find out And if it turns out minorities do want to get involved, he wants to help them get involved Even some of the moaners on here cant argue with that

Will he provide funding for them or just for black kids, if the latter is that not just adding to the problem?
