But I love the breakfast club, I don't think I've fashion wise moved on much from John Bender. The kids love it, but I do have to point it its very of its time and Jud Nelson is a massive abusive pillock throughout. Still love the film though. In fact most of the brat pack films. Breakfast club is class. "Two Hits. Me Hitting You. You Hitting The Floor." Stand By Me is another favourite of mine.
Site Supporter Winchester White Posted March 29, 2021 Site Supporter Share Posted March 29, 2021 Godfathers here too, which is odd as I love gangster films. Never watched Gone With the Wind or Casablanca. I only watched The Magnificent Seven the other week, great film. Original of course.

Gone With The Wind is fantastic, my go to lazy Sunday afternoon film. Oddly enough we always put it on on Christmas morning as well for some reason. Site Supporter Spider Posted March 30, 2021 Site Supporter Share Posted March 30, 2021 Stand by me. That’s in the mix with Weekend at Bernies for films I really must see but refuse to pay a fiver to do so.

Not in Crawley
This is one of the most amazing films. I was dragged along to watch it at a film society showing in Edinburgh on a saturday night. I wasn't much looking forward to it, but the fact you could bring your own cans helped. Totally chnaged my mind. Its funny, pretentious but utterly brilliant and features Peter Faulk's best work (also features the guy who played Hitler in Downfall) plus a great live performance of Nick Cave - the end is great. If you get a chance, honestly watch it. Its one of those
jmjhb
Great film, although I prefer Paris, Texas when it comes to Wenders' work It was better than the remake City of Angels, that's for sure

DazBob
I've never seen the Exorcist. I'd love to watch it but feel it'd be too dated now to be a bit meh. I remember being excited about 20 years ago when Driller Killer finally became legal to hire after no longer being classed as a "Video Nasty". It was shit. Probably watched A Clockwork Orange around the same time and just thought it was plain weird.

Had no clue what was happening in that film. Still for a B. Edited March 30, 2021 by bolton_blondie
