Arrest warrant issued for Netanyahu, Gallant & a dead Hamas commander for war crimes.

So much for the ‘self defence & collateral damage’ argument .

Sadly - it's probably as much use as the Putin one was.

Did I read the matted dreadlock one right? An arrest warrant issued for a dead Hamas leader?

Reflects appropriately on the worthlessness and incompetence of the 'issuer'. It would be amusing to see them attempt to prop up a decomposing cadaver in the dock I suppose.

Basically more woke leftist virtue signalling fucking nonsense.

Are we going to see the U.K. stop selling them weapons now then?

Already been a partial ban.

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/uk-suspends-around-30-arms-export-licences-to-israel-for-use-in-gaza-over-international-humanitarian-law-concerns#:~:text=The government has taken the, compliance with international humanitarian law.

A lot of pressure to extend it to a full ban, doubt that’ll happen though.

 What do you think ?

Partial? A bit pathetic isn't it if He’s wanted on war crimes.

They’ve been currently banned for use in Gaza where the war crimes have happened. Not sure how they regulate that one though.

Banning all sales, when they’re under attack from Iran & Hezbollah isn’t sustainable long term. Only to make a short term point about Netanyahu & Gallant.

I’m sure that will work 😅

A very fair point. I see a US senator is already threatening sanctions for any country that tries to arrest Netanyahu.  He listed France and Spain as examples which got me thinking. How much financial sway has the US over European economies? They could proper feck up some banana Republic with sanctions but an economically strong European nation?

Think the bigger threat would be to pull out of NATO

so can anyone arrest him now?

like an international version of a citizen's arrest or something?

could one of their neighbours try and nab him whilst he's sleeping?

and then, once someone arrests him, where does he get taken to sit in a cell and face trial?

No - it's just the countries that are signed up to the ICC.

The UK is. So we're legally obliged to arrest any of these people if they arrive on our territory.

The US aren't - which is why they're kicking off about it.
