Personally I'm in awe that incredibly bright people can cone up with a workable solution to a massive world wide health emergency in under two years. We should be marvelling at this, not picking it apart. Someone sarcastically wrote what a time to be alive. I'd say that's actually true and we should feel very lucky that we do. Folk want to read up about something like Edwin Chadwick and Cholera and realise that serious public health issues weren't thousands of years ago. We should be down on bended knees thanking whatever diety you choose that we can turn this around and save lives, and that we are not exempt. Our lifestyles keep mortality away from our everyday existence, as soon as something comes along and punchers our little delusional bubble people want to act like ostriches. I'm just glad we have people who will face the reality, and are bright enough to work out ways of getting us through to the next stage without more deaths. Jesus have you tried to have a conversation with an anti vaxxer about how quickly the vaccine was developed. It’s like throwing a shell tanker onto a bonfire. It was developed too quick, why can they cure that but can’t vaccinate for cancer 2 minutes ago, Horwich said: So she’d had a test? Yeah positive LFT and the positive PCR. I’ve already had Covid and triple jabbed and I’ve tested negative onboth, her parents who she’s been in contact with before she knew are both vulnerable but triple jabbed and negative. She’s the only one who’s not had her booster and positive
Not in Crawley
Can't say I've spoken to an anti vaccine person, unless they have qualifications in medicine or virology I'm not sure I'd be listening to their counter 'arguments' It always happens though, and it's not just down to social media, as my example of Edwin Chadwick and his poor law sanitation reforms, builders, planners and engineers thought he was out of his mind and looked to disavow his reforms which saved hundreds of thousands of lives. There are hundreds of examples just like that. Social media just means more are exposed to it, but the same was said for the printing press to spread sedition. The main difference being pamfleteers were generally learned people.

I told him chances are if somehow we could take all the vaccinations out of him which he’s already had MMR, polio , TB, whooping cough we wouldn’t be stood here having this conversation, his reply ”why wouldn’t we?” 😂
Members Rudy
Another response I’ve heard is yeah well they didn’t need vaccinations for the Black Death. You know that little pandemic that wiped out a third of Europe. Thicker than a whale omelette

Leyther_Matt
I could be missing something here, but if the virus follow the trend of Omicron and gets weaker and weaker with each variant then presumably we'll only need the booster jabs for a finite period before the virus dies a natural death anyway? paulhanley
Tested positive six days ago. Classic Omicron symptoms. Its essentially a head cold and I've had far, far worse. This after three Moderna shots. Can consider myself lucky to have avoided Wuhan, Kent and Delta I suppose! It won't be stopping me enjoying a couple of bottles of Dartmoor Jail Ale later. Just about getting to the end of it now. Done a LFT every two or three days throughout and nothing. All the symptoms but it was just a bad cough. We had them pre-March 2020 and just because this pandemic came along it ought not to be the catch-all diagnosis for every cough, sneeze and fart. royal white
The worrying thing with these minorities refusing the vaccine is that it won’t be to long before the minority become a major problem. If we have another pandemic in 20/30 years the 3 million anti Vaxxers in this country could soon be 10 million. The amount of these clowns who have picked up their beliefs from parents who will in turn pass it down to their kids is frightening add to that social media and it will be worrying times for our kids/grandkids. Its just going to become another common winter hazard. What I've had wouldn't make 99 people out of 100 bat an eyelid. I know I'm lucky in when I've caught it but if this is representative of the general state of play re Omicron its time for the world to move on. My Dad (78) has had it too, same mild symptoms.
