There have been lots of people saying we’ve got nothing to worry about right now because people aren’t getting ill from omnicron. But it’s these 3 people and all the others like them who could be passing the virus to their parents and grandparents over the next week that might be the big worry.  We’ve taken one hell of a gamble on the most vulnerable also not getting ill. Fingers crossed.

do you not find it odd that we seem to get all these strains first? I certainly do. Would be some accumulator at the bookies. Running into the millions to one odds possibly. 
 

I find that quite odd personally. 

Good testing, a major place for international travel, and a large migrant population. 

Hardly surprising. 

And as for last to do anything- I seem to remember complaints about the fact we'd stopped international travel/put new checks in place.

Usual one eyed view taken by so many, with both eyes getting a workout.
