They've just recently changed it so that bumders can donate so I reckon you'll be reet.

Yeah think it’s a couple of years. I’m AB- negative which is 1% of people, throw in my  ethic background of being half British half Jamaican and it’s even less. Fascinating really

I got taken off the list too, years ago.

Routinely they test the donated blood for various things. The pcr test showed up HepC. Got a letter out of the blue, which pissed my gp off as it was very stark and unpleasant. 

Anyway, had to have subsequent tests, all of which were negative. Must have been some spurious false positives.

They've never invited me back though, so can only assume I'm positive on their system.

Ah well, can't win them all.
