Basically, if you want a nice Christmas with family and friends - just don't go out for a couple of weeks. If you get it this weekend, that's your Christmas and New Year fucked.

The genie seems to be well and truly out of the bottle and basically beyond control now.

The vaccine is realistically the only weapon left to protect folk now.

The trouble is that delta might get rife as well and that isn’t mild.

A potent seasonal flu showing up would really make things interesting

Did you watch the presentation?

Delta level at the moment in the country which I was surprised at, assumed it would be going up slightly. It is already the less common one in London. 

Booster working very well against Delta too.

As omicron increases, delta is going to drop off.

Whitty's comments about the way omicron has been looked at initially in terms of severity were particularly interesting and food for thought. Which makes boosters all the more useful and a no brainer.
