I see wee Nippy had just announced, for a three week period, football will be spectator free....commencing from Boxing Day

Table service and social distancing in pubs as well

So the Welsh have banned fans, so now has Scotchland...... I'm sure Johnson will get there eventually.

Local landlord needs to order his ale today in preparation for 28th onwards.

What should he do?

Bear in mind that today, nothing is due to change.

Just get a load of cans in, pretend to pull a pint, and when they aren't looking top the glass up from the can

Read above, why the nelly nora would I, of all people on here earning a crust, want another fucking lockdown? Its the very last thing I want.

BUT we need a decision that isn't 'in 48 hours, this will happen'

Because then also all the short-term deals (last minute media) is then up the swanny because everyone is scrabbling around to buy it and therefore its not short-term anymore, its full price. The client won't spend at full-price so I lose the 10% inside and the booking, sales stall AND it then makes next year a pain in the arse.

This indecision is stopping me doing my business.

I understand that and I sympathise.

It is the nature of this virus that has made life difficult for many over the last couple of years.

I do get that, and if we have to lockdown then I begrudingly accept the situation.

At least then I can start planning on moving dates, asking for a delay on certain invoices, looking at cash-flow for the begining of next year and if we have to take a reduction in pay for the first quarter.

The knock on for cancellations means things get moved not weeks, but months and even a year or so back. That puts us all into a bit of a pickle.

Not quite. 500 fans allowed in Scotland. Waste of time, all the same. Hoping Avanti and TP Express will take pity on me and refund the train tickets I'd bought for the Edinburgh derby.

Good luck and here’s hoping for some positive certainty for you soon.

I think I’ve just read that you can be fined in Wales for working from the office if you could have been WFH.

1 billion put aside for Covid hit businesses. Right set of cunts the Tories.

Narrator: He’d forgotten that they’d claw back every penny from the taxpayer. His doublethink was reaching parody levels, dear reader.

I'm willing to bet any amount of money that if Corbyn had announced this you'd have been saying something about businesses planning for lean times like this/survival of the fittest etc!

The money we've spent over the past 12 months would make even JC's head spin! 😁

Not Omicron , unfortunately.

And that’s the data they’ll use.

It isn’t affecting significantly hospitalisations or deaths, as yet. Fingers crossed.

My sister, who is in the NHS, says that the Covid folks in hospital are the unvaccinated.

Can Labour now create money from nowhere?

The info is out there follow the science they say, yes keep close eye on the deaths & hospitalisations, if they begin to effect the NHS ability to cope then noone will complain about lockdown. At the momentTory calls on this are correct.

No. Only Theresa May had a magic money tree but unfortunately Tories tend to keep it all themselves or give it to Tory donors. Anything the public get will be taken back via tax hikes. It’s the way they operate.

Your sister would have my full support if she wheeled them all out and to the nearest bus stops and taxi ranks.

Give it 24/48 hours and they'll be changing their mind and following Scotland and Wales.....even though I suspect the data may not change too much in that time frame

Two weeks ago, it was apparently only 36% of those in hospital with COVID where unvaccinated....

...although I understand a very high percentage of those in the intensive care units are unvaccinated. So it does seem to show having the vaccine does reduce the chance of very serious illness
