Of course I did but if it makes you happy 😉 sadly it had to be a Brexit deal without NI sorted permanently.. given the leverage was being abused by remainers, EU and assorted deniers of democracy.

Nonsense. Bozo announced a great deal including the NI protocol.  Privately he was telling MPs in NI that he was going to tear it up later. That is the major reason we are in this mess. Complete loss in trust caused by the lies of the Tories. As usual it is someone else’s fault.

What you fail to understand is that project fear from the remain side never really came to anything.

The majority of stuff we are seeing now is because of a global pandemic.

Or alternatively - the government has got a free ticket and can blame everything that's going to shit on COVID?

The truth (as always) will be somewhere between the two.

Either way - Brexit is a self imposed headache and we could have spent the past 5 years trying to crack much easier/more beneficial eggs!

Labour's wimpy position on all this makes the situation ten times worse.

Once again they lose out on being a credible opposition. Theyd have us in lockdown in an instance given the chance.

But it could be the right thing to do so all options should remain open for now.

100% correct, that’s their default position… why because it works in adding pressure on the Torys, obviously they hide behind protecting the public…. Same as a they did in a summer when clearly it was wrong thing to do.

And summer? Still argued for continued lock down, deary me. Even Boris as bad as he’s been running rings round labours position on opening/shutting down the economy. Playing party politics without considered rationale isn’t clever opposition.

Keeping masks in operation was completely sensible and should have never been stopped. Once again the message was muddled.

You could be correct, unfortunately we didn't know a global pandemic was due, if so, I think Brexit may have been put on hold.

I've said before. We're going to need to wait a long time to really understand the impact of Brexit. Especially following COVID. And there may be black swan events down the line that have an impact too!

As someone who thinks Brexit will have a net negative effect, I think theres a lot currently being disguised by the fog of COVID.

Time will tell though.....

My favouring a 2 week lockdown isn't because I want it

It's based on science types saying buy us a bit of time

And I was happy to give them that while we prove its low risk

Because, the alternative doesn't bear thinking about

If it is a high risk we will be in for months of lockdown

Because of the dithering we are now taking an almighty gamble and we all know why that is

Bozo can't rely on the cranks in his party and now he can't rely on a lot of the middle ground

The info they need is readily available in SA, will they use it in conjunction in what’s already happening here in the UK? I don’t know…. Worse case scenario isn’t a basis to lock the economy down in my opinion.

clearly not what you wanted, but

He is so weak against his back benchers now it is questionable whether his motives are sound. Is he sticking in the hope the problem passes rather than taking decisive action for public health safety ?

South Africa experience does not translate exactly to UK population demographic. We told you this ten days ago.

I’d think the experts & scientist could figure it out from the information already out there. If they can’t model it from the info already available they aren’t experts.

Which scenario should they use?
