Fly out to Prague in the morning for the next Springsteen concert. However, as last nights Marseille concert was cancelled due to vocal problems, I have a feeling it will be sightseeing mainly.

Sightseeing.

Likely re-scheduled next year.

Hopefully Stockholm in July will be fine.

Bearded Theory festival last weekend was brilliant once again. Gig at the Snug next Saturday then Fat White Family in Manchester and Glasgow in a couple of weeks.

Eagles last night  .That coop live venue is some place.

People filming and generally fucking about with their phones have fucking ruined gigs for me.

Need banning.

thinking of getting tickets next week for Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer double header - not seen either, more for Weezer but if both play their hits it could be a decent night

and to try this new venue out

We are seeing Billy Joel in Cardiff in August, its cheaper than going to MSG.

Hotel booked but any recommendations for food, decent bars etc.

Chippy alley and more decent bars than shake a stick at near the stadium

Saw Springsteen there in May, cant go wrtong with the bars and food places around the stadium, its pretty much in the centre of the city.

Did you have to book anywhere or was there plenty of availability

We were there for a Sunday Evening gig, ate around 2 ish, plenty of room at that time, bars busy, but still room.

wasn't necessarily fine dining (ate at an Irish bar), so no idea on needing to book at the 'posher' places.

Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Weezer and Mr Bungle all playing Manchester in the same night???

Missed out on Mr Bungle as mate forgot to buy them

He reckons Mike Patton is involved but not sure about that

Same mate might be able to secure free tickets for the Pumpkins/Weezer gig but if not we're going anyway, loads of tickets left

Seen foos that many times I'm not arsed about seeing them again, especially at old Trafford in the pissing rain

I see Pearl Jam are struggling to sell tickets. Not surprised at the prices they're charging.

Right on the side by the stage nigh on 93 quid before Ticketmaster shaft you in their fees

most gigs are struggling to sell at the coop, probbaly because of the prices for acts that aren't exactly top drawer

going to smashing pumpkins / weezer tomorrow but not buying the tickets till the morning, there are plenty resale tickets as well which are coming in £20 cheaper and keep going down

the other week, a promo code went around on the day of the nikci minaj gig that meant you only had to pay for the booking fee - code was "STARSHIPS"

so going to spend tomorrow entering promo codes of all of SP and W's biggest hits starting with "BUDDYHOLLY""

Am tempted by Weezer if I can get cheap tickets. No interest in Smashing Pumpkins.

I'm definitely more into Weezer than Pumpkins

they're on first as well (or they were the other night)

never got into SPs in terms of listening to an album of theirs, but I know enough of the hits to probably enjoy it if they are decent live

and cheapest I've seen is £40 but on the top tier at the back

however as a brand new venue I'd still expect them to be a decent view and sound

Did you both to watch Jane’s Addiction? Set list looked belting. I’ve just gone and booked flights, accom and tickets to see them in Paris after missing out on Manchester (was on holiday).

Standing ticket price for Slipknot at the Co-Op was 67 quid, Pearl Jam want an extra £100 for the same tickets, rather unsurprisingly Slipknot has sold out months in advance and Pearl Jam has loads of empty seats a couple of week out

Just ludicrous pricing

Missed out on that! Went to the Korn LB double header, sure Fred Durst walked past me in the thick of it when Korn were closing
