Santos is class at this level defensively. The Problem is him  being burdened by having to be the chief tippy tappy merchant at the back by the willy waver.. especially with next to no midfield in front of him at times. Playing numerous games injured didn't help either

He'll be off anyway at the end of the season don't think he took too kindly to being the prime target of our knuckle dragging mongos.

That he was a Rolls Royce?😂

I do think he’s been incredibly overhyped for years at Bolton.

No malice from me though. Some good times, some bad. Probably won’t be in the memorable list ether good or bad.

Well, team of the season.

I think you get my broad point. Out of 24 squads of 20 odd players, he was twice picked out. That suggests a high level, at this level.

We all have our own take, but I’m happy to remember him for what he did for 4 years before this season.

You know what Joni Mitchell said!

You're absolutely right re the stick.

I wonder though, if it was more the shit his wife got. Surely, as a player, he will have had worse from opposing fans, and I'd imagine he wouldn't bother about a few slaggings off from his own.

All water under the bridge now.

He's not likely to get a better gig now, his age and long term injury may put some off taking a risk.

Best of luck to him, whatever he does.

I had a look who Joni Mitchell was. Short answer is no, I don’t.

We do all have our own opinions though.

We move on.

That was uncalled for shit either way. He was often unreliable, out of position and made some poor decisions, but Rolls Royce or not he's a third division defender and get's stick same as they all do.

From memory she started that all off.

Happy to agree to disagree on santos, but you don’t know who Joni Mitchell is?

Genuine question - why do you say that?

There seems to be an impression that he's downed tools since Evatt left, which really isn't the case.

Shouldn't forget that he's been the mainstay (along with Gethin) of a team that, for 4 years, took us from the arse of League Two to a play off final. The fella was an absolute Rolls Royce at this level. Of course he made mistakes, but he's been some player for us.

He played with an injury for much of the season under Evatt.

I was sat by him at the Stockport game and he's fully invested in his teammates and the club. I don't get the disdain some people have for him!

I've always backed him tbf.

But regardless of the lads clear ability we need to move on from him. His persona and character are systematic in our bottle job tag. He blames everybody else when things go wrong.

At one point he was the whole heartbeat of our play, every single ball went through him and at times he was a colossal. Those times have gone I'm afraid. His captaincy and being our main man died at Wembley.

The whole Evatt spine needs to go for us to move on.

Forino looks mode than capable in his position BTW.

To put you out of your misery she had a hit song, Big Yellow  Taxi, in which was the line ...

Maybe so, but that doesn't make it right.

The stuff flung at her, quite possibly from just one or two people, was beyond anything remotely acceptable.

Likewise the shit Evatt's kids got.

Yet another example of what a nest of vipers twatter etc can be.

Feels like years since Santos last played. He will go down as a great though.

He won't

I don't mind him but he's got a L2 promotion and PJ cup to his name

nowhere near the same bracket as a great like Gudni

At best he's alongside Wheater

A lower league great is still a great.

You could argue the husbands did far worse.

Im no super defender of abuse. But if she doesn’t start it off and no one responds.

Twitter is a cesspit. No argument from me.

Exeter are due a £5m windfall for the sell on clause on Jay Stansfield to Fulham/Brum. That kind of money would make a huge difference to us so why can’t we pull off stunts like that?  Asking for a friend.

The classic Frankie Worthy line in his book still tickles me.

Not the best photo that - is that him as far back as possible to signal his disdain? :D
