Would be done after he's left.

I was only joking. Don't really care what happens at the moment. All feels a bit "limbo".

You can still keep your shares in a company when you've left.

In the case of football, I don't think so.

Even if there is no specific rule to that effect, I reckon clubs would be wary of employing someone with shares elsewhere because of the obvious potential conflict of interest.

Legally, yes. Morally, and I’d imagine within the rules of the FA etc., no. There’s too much of a conflict of interest (and it would just be weird - e.g. Blackpool manager has shares in Bolton).

Dunno but our peg has shares in Mitchell's and Butler but works for someone else now.

Might be diff in footy like TM says.

Scholes became manager of Oldham in League Two, whilst also owning 10% of Salford who were in the National League at the time. He was told he had to resign as a director, but could keep his 10% share. Anything more than 10% would likely be deemed a conflict of interest and wouldn't be allowed.

Took this from t'internet. Might be bollocks, but it seems reasonable.

I don’t think Evatt’s shares are equity shares. He has a 0% stake in FV, as far as I’m aware. They merely allow other rights, such as a share of any dividends or other payments to equity shareholders.

Which would still be enough to have questions raised about a conflict of interest.

Especially by a potential new employer.

Has Sharon's Turkey teeth son stopped going? Can't recall seeing him this season at aways....

Saw him a couple of times earlier in the season, but not for a while. Saw a couple of his entourage at Stockport but not sure if he was there.

Depends on the shares but normally if they’re company issued employee shares there’s usually a clause stating that you must sell them back when leaving. As Evatt’s are only B Shares and probably have lower voting rights and dividends than A/Ordinary shares I’d be pretty sure this applies to him therefore not an issue which ties the club to him if he’s dismissed. I’d think its highly unlikely that the club would give him equivalent shares to owners and directors but you never know?🥴
