Them Wigan C **nts.

Ok fair fucks they won the league an’ all that, but tonight i had to endure a midnight train full of the turds on a train from Manc to Wigan with loads of feral scruffs singing “Bolton get battered” blah fucking blah.

They can enjoy their day in the sun, but we’re on our way back and our paths will no doubt cross again.

Karma.

Without wanting to keep going round in circles, I'm envious of the folk who do class today as their main rivals and there are plenty of them.

I can't wait to get back to playing Blackburn. Love and hate that fixture in equal measures.

Many years I've hated Blackburn Rovers, many years I've hated blue and white.

I imagine the Campo 1-0, Jussi double pen save, 8,000 away fan game was a particular highlight for you mate?

In fact, thinking about our record against Blackburn, we’ve had some good results at their place over the years. It’s got to be one of our better records against a local rival.

There’s an obsession on social media about their ticket sales for today. Selling just short of 4k for a league 1 game at £30 a Chuck isn’t bad going.

That was sweet. One of my favourites though being when Diouf cheated them to win the game, and of course the 3-4 win.

Been some ace days there

Yes. The excruciating dive.

But we paid dearly for that. I think from then on the Premiership Referee Club decided not to give us penalties unless keepers with chain saws were involved, & probably even then.

Only took Steve Bennett 5 mins in the FA Cup qtr final against Arsenal to get his revenge on diouf too. Red card

Yes, born in 74

Does anyone know why Barnsley hate Wigan so much?

Seems pretty random.

One of my favourite away days that 1-0.

The game had everything as well as a great day out and going 2nd in the league. Me and @WHITE BOY had some Blackburn mates we’d travelled up with from Manchester for the game. I’ve never seen em since😂

It’s to do with a Barnsley player leaving for Wigan and a season where one or the other was relegated. Fairly recent from memory.

It's strange that even when we were 3-1 down I thought we'd win that

I'm not sure I could explain why though

Possibly having the likes of Jaaskelainen, N'Gotty, Thome, Nolan, Campo, Frandsen, Stelios, Djorkaeff, Okocha, Davies on the pitch helped.

Barnsley could have stayed up if Wigan got a points deduction the first time around, and therefore wanted Wigan to be punished. Our 6 fingered friends took it personally. I have a vague recollection that the Wigan manager said something about Barnsley’s attitude, that they then took umbrage to.
see our dislike for Doncaster, Peterborough, Scunthorpe et al  who were calling us to be kicked outta the league.

Cheers folks.

End of the day we were shit again though we won against fleetwood any one with any sense could see the flaws today we played a decent team didn’t turn up and got wacked that’s what happens

Yep all too common occurrence against them unfortunately.
