When would be a good time to announce additional security measures for Mosques? I suspect there isn't one in the current climate.

They couldn't have picked a worst time.

The footage of the PM sat pandering to Muslims in a mosque complete with folk in Burkas in the background. PR catastrophe.

Reform folk will he laughing their cocks off.

Might have been better announcing a plan to get to the bottom of why there's incidents at these places in the first place?

Fuck knows but that yesterday was political suicide.

Why do you think there are incidents at these places?

What a shame that we’ve got to fork out 10 million of tax payers money because of emboldened racist fuckwits.

Same goes for protections on synagogues.

The Mosques being protected won’t be to blame for the grooming scandal, or the Brighton rape, or any of the other issues listed above. (Not sure why the Southport attack is being referred to as Islamic tbh).

Your answer is in the first sentence of your post.

I don’t think everyone suggesting it was an Islamic attack is racist fwiw.

Been keeping an eye on the inquiry, heartbreaking to say the least & full of failures to get him off the streets & at least attempt to get him medical treatment.

His dad should also be locked up in my opinion.

But claiming Islam is to blame, given the facts, is just ludicrous. He was accessing Neo Nazi & communist material on extreme violence as well.

Folk believing this shite is why mosques are needing money. Depressing

I'm pretty sure they are. If it was a mentally disturbed white kid, they wouldn't be invoking Islamism.

Nobody on here said they were to blame.

But with the backdrop of all that plus the powder keg of public feeling it wasn't a good idea to announce such measures.

PR disaster.

He is amazing. Young lady round here suffered serious nerve damage after chemo for a brain tumour. Been following her story on Facebook where he’s taught her to walk again. Absolutely brilliant bloke

That's fabulous 👏

I disagree it’s a PR disaster.

There will always be people who will hate seeing support given to the Muslim community. But many will agree with it. I’d argue that those who don’t were never going to vote Labour anyway.

I think it’s quite common to see all Muslims being blamed for the issues you’ve listed above. The fact people are still referring to the horrors in Southport as an Islamic attack is part of the problem.

On the other hand, there are genuine issues in some Muslim communities. And we shouldn’t be scared to call it out when it’s seen, whilst not tarring everyone with the same brush.

Not an easy balance to strike for any politician. Especially with so much misinformation & hateful rhetoric out there.

Yes, but we are talking about additional protection

What sort of protection should Rhiannon Whyte have received from society?

Unbelievable. Beggars belief on so many fronts. This’ll mean a few more voters for Reform as well 🤦‍♂️.

You're probably right, but what have Reform said they're going to do with Prisons to reverse 14 years of neglect and under-funding?

It will. Farage will also probably be hoping this bloke assaults another child over the weekend, to gather even more support.

Farage is the pied piper for thick cunts just like Trump is in the US. Sure he will also get some rich folk who will feather their nests off the back of his stupidness and division.

All while the working class move further and further away from the rich and working class folk convince themselves this is good while their kids can't even hope to own their own home.

It would help if the Labour party wasn't so stuck in the past, maybe we need a Reform government to reset the whole fucking shambles.
