davidjack
It'll be depressing if we can't sell more than 15k home tickets. This should be a sell-out. If you can't afford it then you can't afford it, but if you're sat on your arse watching it on telly rather than getting to the game - because you can't be arsed - can you really call yourself a fan? Discuss.
Site Supporter Alf Hartigan Posted January 30, 2015 Site Supporter Share Posted January 30, 2015 you just need to accept what we've got. and numbers wise, it's not great.

davidjack
But I don't accept it, Alf - the support is there, numbers wise, it's just dormant a lot of the time. There are lots of reasons why... I just wish we could galvanise it more of the time. I also fear that if we don't then potentially the best manager in my lifetime (with all due respect to Greaves, Rioch and Allardyce) could be off sooner than we'd like. He's said several times we're a big club with potential etc...well let's show him that we are - and sell 23k home tickets. It shouldn't be that difficult. So if you're undecided, or you have mates who call themselves fans but are planning to watch from their sofas then have a word with them or yourselves. NLSWA. Until we get a cup final. Watch the dormant ones come out of their hibernation then!
ex_midlandwhite
Every club has dormant support though. Every club would take a full end to Liverpool. It's yhe other games that judge support. We've got a terrible record of crowds in big cup games. Small ones too but then so do many other clubs

"potentially the best manager in my lifetime" Are you 10? Let's not get carried away, more are coming back and games like these help, as did home wins over Christmas against t'Rovers and Wigan. But to be moaning about not having full houses is a little premature.

davidjack
I'm not moaning, clown, just saying it would be good to fill the place. I do think he has the potential to be a really great manager...don't you?
Moderators Carlos Posted January 30, 2015 Moderators Share Posted January 30, 2015 We'll get under 20K unless a load of Scousers buy ticktes. A home game against Liverpool isn't going to awaken our "dormant" support.

COYW
If they want first dibs on tickets, you'd expect a few more of them to make an effort then.

gonzo
We only managed 12k for a cup semi final FFS. And 18k in another with 5k away fans. We just haven't got a big support. I don't really know why folk get so hung up about it. The Macron has 5k too many seats in it.
Traf
They should close the top tiers until the bottom is full for all games. Then you've less staffing overheads too.
