Shouldn't this be in the 'Things that look easy but aren't' thread?
  2. What on earth are you blabbering on about. Who shall we bring in? Zidane? Wayne Rooney is probably England's greatest ever football player, he can't manage for toffee.
  3. Presume that’s only home tickets? Likely another thousand by the end of the day. Still plenty of season ticket holders in no rush considering they’ve got until Weds - sure it’ll end up 23-25k at least. I’m buzzing for it, I know the 8pm Saturday was seen as a downside but it just adds to it for me, it’s going to be some atmosphere when people have been boozing all day for a Saturday night game!
  4. Just look at @Zog1, as far as we are aware he's never been a pro football but clearly has coaching and management skills that could easily have success at the highest level.

Our biggest weapon is our wingers and energetic forwards. We’re not going to rip that up by playing defenders in unfamiliar roles Having Conway on the left wing will not help us defensively. It will just cost us offensively. We are susceptible to that big diagonal ball on transitions. We have been all season. I agree it needs sorting, but playing 2 left backs and having less going forward will weaken us

Threatening folk who don’t vote for you. Aye, that’s where we are at boys and girls. Bunch of cunts
  7. Saw half a dozen lads in the shop on Saturday, Dutch I think, all buying a shirt and a scarf each. Great to see.
  8. I think he’s just part of that generation that only gives a fuck about themselves and nobody else

I saw this too. It really was/is a massive turnover. Can’t be accused of standing still. The only area that’s not had an overhaul is the defence and we all know that is coming. But no point slagging the defenders off that we still have, who’ve got a really important job to do in these next 3 games. They’ve never been short on passion or desire and if they perform to their best with no individual errors they can go into next season, with or without us, with a well deserved L1 promotion on their CV. Let’s not let this, before our destiny is determined, turn into a “need to get rid of Johnston, Toal because they are shit” thread.
  10. I collect tools... "all the gear and no idea" 😁 Two hours later... It'd taken Kev 20 minutes and he'd have used the back of a teaspoon. Her Who Must Be Obeyed is happy so it's a result 😀 Better that the previous mildew

Toal, Forino and Johnston all in there! 😂 I’m going to love it when these shit defenders help get us to the championship. IMO they are inconsistent, not shit. Yes they make mistakes, yes we need upgrades next season, but the way some go on you’d think we’ve got the shittest back line in L1.
  13. Just to show I can be balanced on your posts, this is a decent one! Agree re getting Dalby back. Penalties could be a season decider too! So please be practicing them!
  14. I'd like to think that with Erhahon and Dalby back in the team, even with everything else being the same we stand a decent chance. They add a core of physicality that was really missing vs Luton. None of the clubs up here this season have been great and Plymouth who've been 2nd in the form table since like Febuary didn't get in due to their terrible start to the season. The only team i worry about from the three is Stockport. I think there's a gap between us and them vs the other two, in terms of the players they have access too. I think it's a season too early for Bradford which only just come up from League 2 and still have a team packed with League 2/ lower League 1 players. It's a similar case with Stevenage, that due to their tiny budget they've put all their money in their X1 but outside of that, it's quite thin. Re Wembley I think we need to start training penalties, given how many draws we've had this year.

Put simply, it’s blackmail. Vote for us, or we’ll fuck you over. We’re not doing what’s best for the country, we’ll do what’s best for our supporters. The figurehead of the movement is a millionaire, pocketing millions from personal donations, blackmailing voters whilst claiming to be one of them. All whilst he avoids doing his job in his constituency / parliament, so he can grift in the US, earn a million + on GB News, market Gold and support cryptos. The sad thing is how many people lap it up. He’ll probably win.

Quite fitting for the Reform Voters lapping this up...

Our defenders are perfectly fine for 90% of the time. They just have the ability to self combust for no apparent reason. Every goal we seem conceed is a fuck up that's against the run play. That Blackpool home game couldn't sum things up any better.

I think what we are debating here has become a bit clouded. My original post was below a load of posts (not yours) about how shit our defenders/defensive unit is. I’m not claiming you have said our defenders are shit. My subsequent posts have been to you and Tom criticising the article and its validity - I think both of you have made good points and on reflection I’ve conceded on some of the points you’ve made. Im still maintaining that our defenders aren’t as shit as some (not you) are making out.

Do the Green areas also get to keep the NHS and stay in the ECHR?
  20. Correct, and even the wife bit is negotiable.

  22. 3rd rule.... Never, ever share a hotel room with another human being, unless it's your wife.
  23. I had a pair too- youth team. They were slightly different as the coloured stripe were on the trim, as opposed to about an inch up. There were both white and red socks, with the stripes being reversed on the red
  24. It was a good crowd but we didn't have 22.5k fans. The tickets sold was that many but as we know its not hundreds its thousands that can't make a given game. The play off attendance will be real, nobody's buying a ticket and not going. If we get 20k home fans it will be a fantastic turnout for an 8pm KO live on TV, everyone having to make the effort and expense to buy a ticket, and with 1 week's notice that the game is happening.
  25. Spot on. A lot of comments of "we aren't worried about any of the other 3", which are fine and valid, but we weren't worried about going to Port Vale, Northampton, Burton, Rotherham, Doncaster, none of us would have taken a point at those places, we expected to win, we didn't. Us not losing sleep over playing Bradford or Stockport is irrelevant, it doesn't help us defend corners or improve our shooting.
  26. Each to their own, but I'd never have another decking. Plastic/composite one maybe, but that is very, very expensive. A lot of maintenance required, not easy to properly clean and reseal or paint. Get slippery, and still rots eventually. Wood is still expensive too. Hard surface for me. Remove top soil, cheap recycled MOT, and topped off with required surface.

Asked for and got by City in the second half. Paraded about, without doing anything with it. Some of the body language was shocking. Their defence resembled ours at times, and they failed to win so many headers from Everton long balls.

  31. Come on mate you need to be a little more self aware and self critical if you can’t see that some of your posts come across as being a know all with an often narrow perspective. You’ve not been able to move beyond thinking that SS could have just repeated what he did at Plymouth. You wanted young Toby (who I know really well by the way and was delighted when he got his debut at Cardiff) thrown into the den as a pseudo number 10 to solve our problems You’ve advocated not having Sheehan in a midfield 2. I’m not saying your opinion is wrong and shouldn’t be aired, just be open-minded and accepting that what you say isn’t a definitive way to solve our problems. There’s often alternatives you don’t see and acknowledge. Like us all you’ve got an opinion, it doesn’t make you “bulletproof”

At the end of the day these are LOCAL GOVERNMENT elections and we vote on a local level for whoever we feel will represent our daily interests best, almost irrespective of parties. Nationalistic politics can F off along with Reform and Greens and whoever/whichever pillock is trying to rule the world for his/her self betterment... get them all up against the wall and move on is what I say
  33. I watch this guy a lot for particular reason
  34. Built the bathroom 12 years ago, the panel now has a hairline crack on the top edge but I need to remove it ocassionally to unblock the trap. I'm not touching anything anymore because I've dodged a bulllet from the missus... estate agent takes over this week. My FIL was a builder and would have bollocked me for not filling the bath but I have used a decent Dow Corning mastic
  35. I’d be keeping Tutu. He’s a good player and I don’t think he’s particularly expensive. We’ve done a good job of keeping him fit for most of this season so he’s had an impact. Can also play 2-3 roles Dempsey. Another one I like but I don’t see any sense in keeping him.
  36. Aye. If the weathers been good too, it could be a proper rum do.
  37. I dont doubt it, just one of those where I know what I'd do but know what SS will do and it's not that. Think I said after the game on Sat, all conventions about playing two legged ties will be out of the window. We've no idea how to keep a clean sheet so may as well try to score as many as we can. We're a bit like Keegan's Newcastle, every game looks like it could be one of those 4-3 epics v Liverpool

I read a stat about him today. Only player to have scored hat tricks in England in his teens, 20s, 30s and 40s.
  40. It depends upon your interpretation of "multiculturalism". For me, it has failed dramatically. Not as a result of allowing a degree of immigration, but by allowing too much "culture" to be common place. Those cultural aspects that we find abhorrent only came about around the 70s/80s. Very small initially, but accelerated like fuckery since the 90s onwards. Accepting these, or turning a blind eye when they become apparent, just creates separation, polarisation and normalisation of extreme behaviours. Enhancing a nation through cuisine, medicine, history etc is great. Wrecking it through raping kids, extreme racism and a doctrine of domination, amongst others isn't great.

30% of the league all in the “Champions” League. farcical.
  42. And mark their players at corners and set pieces. And tell Gale to play with enough fear that he wants to cross/pass it instead of going for glory every 2 minutes.
  43. I thought he was fouled
  44. Just play without fear and rip into them from the off.

You have missed the point as well. He's talking about a large swathe of people who have their rent paid, get given free money just for being boneidle slobs and having a few kids. To them , their lives are cushy as fuck. No job to worry about, just give their kids the bare minimum then pop to the eyebrow shop and the tattoo parlour whilst they;'re at school, then take them to the local flat roofed pub and get shedded. These people exist and we all know it. All we ask as knackered taxpayers, is that our money goes to people who genuinely need it rather than scummy cunts just playing the system.

The Cage was really good last night, drama set in Liverpool, written by Tony Schumacher, who wrote The Responder. Similar feel though a different storyline. If you liked that you'll probably like this.

Getting a load of councils run by Reform & the Greens so far away from a General Election will probably help the main parties further down the line. In two years time, when they've made an absolute fuck-up of running councils (like Reform are on the way to doing already), they'll have made themselves unelectable.
