It's all well and good having 25k on but when the 8k league 2 Keith hill regulars have to queue 45 mins for a pint I hope you know we've done the hard yards so you can complain the pints are flat.

People can moan at Hart but we now have an up-to date fan base which we can use for marketing etc… perhaps he knew better.

Except much of those will be assignees rather than outright registrations so won’t have consented to being sent marketing information.

Travel distance to where? We play in as sterile an environment as it’s possible to be. In fact, with not too much thought, a set of stairs into the adjacent lower tier would make for a shorter travel distance than someone having to get out from any of the upper tiers. The safe route from any emergency situation would be onto the pitch and out through an unaffected stand. Try that from an upper tier.

I'm only repeating what I read, many years ago, in terms of the covered-over seats/seating areas in the corners.

What I do know, from working experience, is travel distances are essentially a Fire Regulations requirement, I.E. the maximum distance to travel before reaching a designated 'safe area' (usually outside but could also be a 'protected area' typically with at least 'one hour' fire protection) must not be breached.

'Outside' could potentially mean onto the pitch, but even 5000 thousand fans stood on the pitch (out of the 30,000+ maximum capacity - with the first 3 rows and corner seats added) is likely to offer only a very temporary solution - especially if the evacuation was for a bomb threat, but also even with a fire, the people on the pitch would still need to pass under/through some part of the building to get out and away from the stadium.

The Reg's, are applicable to all buildings, but in the case of sporting/entertainment venues there is the added evaluation of the number of people evacuating, all at the same time. So, this evaluation would have to take into account EVERY seat being occupied when the evacuation alarm is activated (could be a fire/ terrorist threat or any other emergency) and therefore the conclusion is that the seating area's in question breached the maximum travel distances, and time taken to get everyone safely out, when each staircase is full of people, some (many?) of which are likely to be panicking.

Like I said before, I'm sure there's a solution, and the cheapest might be with a staircase onto the lower tier - but that would also require the lower tier evacuation to be re-assessed too - in any event there will be a cost to providing a solution that can ultimately be approved by the authorities.

Another "cup final"....and seeing we have a few more "cup finals" coming up plus injuries to contend with, we have to expect some squad rotation although in our heart of hearts we'd be more confident if we started the same eleven (and we know who they are) every game. So we just have to hope that whoever steps up is good enough to keep the wins coming.

I just know they're going to put us through the wringer again, but as long as we come out of it with the points I won't give a monkeys.

Tony Philiskirk is awesome and my first hero

🤣👍.

He’s good - but he doesn’t quite get the juices flowing like a map of the South Lower does.

Made even more exciting by the Keith Lard fire regulation discussion - pure attendance nonce porn

I’ll return later when the picture of the south east corner becomes live and starts selling - I know that’s a while off yet @tomski - hope you can contain yourself

If the Pink gig hasn't sold out yet, it will now

I know 1,600 go on sale tomorrow, but currently there is just 1 ticket available in the whole home end. Some going, that.

Even my bestest friend Casino would be able to count that right

how many does the East, West and North accommodate?

the rest of the South lower tier should sell easily now

Approx 23,500

It would be interesting to see how many additional heads they get from iFollow because I suspect there will be a good few on that who can’t make todays game. Poor show from Cambridge though if the less than 500 figure is true as you’d think in their position and winning their last two they’d have brought more than that?

I think 350 from them on a long trip Bank Holiday Monday is a good showing; they only have 6000 at home
