Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted June 1, 2023 Site Supporter Share Posted June 1, 2023 Current Bristol Rovers and Stevenage the 2 grounds i've not been and i'm in no particular rush to get there either. If they fall on a saturday and i've nothing else on, i'll probably go Reading I really can't be arsed with unless it's 1st game of the season or we are on promotion push

Site Supporter desperado Posted June 22, 2023 Site Supporter Share Posted June 22, 2023 (edited) Touched on it in the fixture thread. Those opening away fixtures won’t help the system (if they do set it up) get off to the smoothest starts. A Reading, Charlton, Portsmouth, Barnsley away, where supply would have probably met demand would have allowed you to get on the ladder. Even better if the League cup game would have thrown up a decent away ground. Instead we are left with 3 fixtures where demand will exceed supply; Cheltenham, Burton and Shrewsbury. Would they consider some tiered points based on previous loyalty? I very much doubt it. Or a ballot system for the first 3 games? If not it leaves yet another fastest finger fuck up for our first away game. And then If you don’t make that you probably won’t get Burton away! Could be Reading on 16th September until supply beats demand. Edited June 22, 2023 by desperado
Marc505
This is a situation they really need to handle with care here, pressure is on them to not fuck this up. I'm a bit of a broken record about it, but I think the away ST as it is should have been fine. If people want to do multiple aways, pay the £20 fee (increase it to £40 if they must) and return your 5 unwanted when required. Any over and above that 5, flog off or burn the match ticket cost as a write off. They've committed to something using the word "loyalty" now though, and it's going to cause a ruckus. Nobody wants to be seen to be "officially" recongised by their club (for want of a better term) as less loyal than someone else. And I’m saying that even though it doesn’t work for me. Out of the 18 I did last year, 12 of those I had the family in tow. I can’t afford an away ST x 2/3. I doubt I’d make a full season minus 5 myself this year. But if I’m going to Cheltenham, Burton, Shrewsbury, (if lucky enough) Reading, Port Vale, Barnsley, Charlton, I should be ahead of those season ticket holders who just want to rock up at Fleetwood. No problem at all if I’m behind in the queue to those who go midweek to Wycombe, Oxford and Lincoln.
Moderators Casino Posted June 22, 2023 Author Moderators Share Posted June 22, 2023 ill say it again theres absolutely fuck all in it for neil hart to piss off season ticket holders some folk may only be buying them so they can do the homes and a few local aways tell them they cant do the locals and they might fuck it off i will be amazed if they come up witha scheme that risks alienating STH's, but I could be wrong fwiw, i think theres a fair chance Cheltenham isnt a 3 minuter

Shewsbury is likely to mid-week too so that will impact massively. Any chance the friendlies will accrue points if anything is actually set up at all? gonzo
A mutual friend of a few on here spoke to the ticket office yesterday. I for one, didnt realise the away season ticket included cup games. The 5 turn downs include shagwanking papa johns games. Fuck that. We only sold 77 away STs last season too. Also there will be no loyalty thing as they only expect problems with Fleetwood away. radcliffe white
There won’t be a change apart from not buying an adult with a junior CR but if they think fleetwood will be the only issue then the club are seriously out of touch Edited June 22, 2023 by radcliffe white

That’s alarming. Especially looking at the allocations above, the problems experienced last year, the increased support home and away. followed with the promise that this was being looked into.
