Still a chance then…

I won’t hold my breath, but as you say it gives hope.

Away S/T won’t get in to three figures. As with others, I’m a 12-18 away game type and can’t commit to paying out for anything up to 30 away games just to get hold of the ones I want.

Tomski made a good point earlier

Maybe the second tier should be folk who didnt ask for their money back in #seadoncovid

We did not ask for our money back but I think that would be unfair. People may not at that time have been able to afford it. A scheme has to start with everyone at the same level.

Consider this as an issue with a 'loyalty' scheme

Cheltenham...theres 10 of us wanting to go

We can put our hands on 20 refs

So prob go in mob handed, 4 of us each with 5 refs

If 2 of us are succesful, thats us happy

But it may well be that the 10 refs used arent the 10 going

Or, we get 15, i give 5 to you, you dont get a 'credit'

And, until the platform is reliable, we will carry on 'overbuying'

I get you overbuying. In your circumstances, with the system we have, I’d probably do the same.

I don’t because I’m only buying usually for 3/4. And there’s only me (not all the time) able to get on at weekdays at 10.00 and get them.

But because I’m buying for less and it’s only me buying, it puts me (and anybody else not overbuying) at a disadvantage. Part of the reason it needs changing.

If we had a system kicking in at the start of the season, yes Cheltenham would be a free for all, but after that it would just be the CRNs that were successful then and thereafter that gain the points.

There will still be issues; getting on the ladder, reusing CRNs that aren’t for the person going, still overbuying with the CRNs that have points.

But there’s a better chance of it being fair with the priority scheme in place,  than it not.

Oh……is it cheaper than £25 to be be added to your overbuying list, count me in if so? 😉🤣

2 pubs I know get an allocation it’s wrong

That is bollocks

Out of interest, you and your mates

Pretty much do every away game

Is there a reason why you'd not do the away ST?

I'll take my chances and not be too arsed if I missed out

But if I were you, I'd probably get one

This was debated last night

most are in favour tbh, for me who purchases for the group it would make things so easy only thing I need to know is it 5 returns per person or application? If there’s 4 on our application 2 may go to Oxford midweek but others not

we do have a few who go occasionally that probably wouldn’t bother if they had to fend for themselves but like I found with Barnsley tickets always come about I guess

The club really aren't as invested in this issue as the fans are, sadly.

The club make next to nothing (5% on non-POTD) on away ticket sales and see selling them as more hassle than it's worth. They know that they'll not sell any more tickets with a loyalty scheme in place, so they're not arsed who actually takes them off their hands.

It does, however, make a bit of a mockery of the need for the club to have everyone's details.

The upshot for someone like me, who is likely to be a lone traveller for much of the season, now that Jnr is off to Uni, si that I'll probably just decide to fuck it off as also not worth my hassle.

And once they start pissing people off enough off away tickets, people will stop going to home games too.

It would be a guaranteed window with only people with enough points for that window so no panic rush. Appreciate there would be a stage of a few aways to go through before we get to that point.

But your issue is because we do not have a loyalty scheme.

If we did the 10 you need would get theirs no over buying. I can see issues with Cheltenham and Burton as quite low allocations and sunny days at start of season.

We have missed out on all the limited 10 o'clock rushes last couple of seasons, if that continues it is getting to stage when not sure why we have season tickets. Yoof has renewed his even though he is moving abroad in September ! Ilkley's lad still has a season ticket although up in Newcastle at Uni.

Correct. I only have a season ticket to (a) sit in the same seat each week and (b) help me get away tickets.

You can pretty much pick up a spare for free for most home games anyway.

That's what happens now

Nothing to do with the loyalty scheme that didn't exist yet

I did this for Barnsley, wasn't even going but logged on to help mates

I got six

I could've got 10 if I wanted

The fact points are attributed to an st is irrelevant

It happens at every club

I know STs who buy tickets to keep their points topped up and sell the ones they don't want knowing there will always be takers
