A day to forget. First time I've ever left early.

Noticed on Tuesday, and again today, something looks "off" about Santos at the moment.

All three CB’s were awful today and the wing backs; add to that Morley; Dan and Adeboyejo- that’s based on the first half because I left after the third goal. Never seen so many bottling it in one game plus the ref was making it even easier for Wigan for allowing some bad tackles to not get punished and that push that led to the second goal.

defending was appalling for that corner and the third goal as we just let the guy run for the ball with nobody running back; where was Rico?

All this they aren't our rivals is playing into their hands. They might not have been 30 years ago but they are now - like it or not. The sooner we sooner we start treating it like that the sooner we might put a performance in.

Horror show all over. They wanted it more, and absolutely bullied us from start to... well, I left after the fourth. I've never left a game that early before.

Won't go over the negatives again and again, but a tiny glimmer from today - Maghoma and Mendes Gomes look useful.

Rivals, not rivals? Personally, I can't fucking stand them. Today hurt.

First off I'm not here to gloat but I said I'd post one win or lose. What a strange day where you had loads of possession but did little with it. You are loads better than that though and I believe you will go up but I remain optimistic we can make the play offs. Our young lads stepped up big time and in a game of fine margins did things correctly.  Thought we may miss Morrison but Watts played well as did young Hughes. Our two young lads in midfield were excellent.  It was just one of them days where nowt went right for you but I've no doubt you'll bounce back after today. Like I said I'm not here to take the piss so ill sling my hook.

The number 26 is precisely what we need in our team. Quality that lad.

As politely as I can, that's bollocks. What we say and do as fans has no bearing on the attitude Evatt sends his team out with.

The powers that be at the club need to get a grip and understand that when we play in derbies against local sides who are the same size or smaller than us, they're out for our scalp. They'll play above themselves and get stuck in and we need to match or better that attitude . To be fair it's what any club worth it's salt does in derbies. Bolton Wanderers have a poor record in that regard and it is showing no sign of change.

. Still up near top. We be back. In Evert we trust.

I actually lost some of my trust in Evatt today.  Last time I could excuse it but that today was almost unforgivable.

Dempsey lost a 50/50 physical thing early on with their tiny number 8 in front of the crazy corner and it was obvious the game was gone then.

Their third goal was so embarrassing, strolling around as though they were on a day out.

If someone had offered 9 from 12 at start of season I'd have snapped their hand off though.

Not saying 9 out of 12 isn’t decent, course it is, but 6 points from 3 homes is par for the course. A win at Cheltenham is nice but again, it’s par. I would have said 10 points should have been the aim from those fixtures, they couldn’t have been much kinder.

Its not just his ratting about

He also makes himself an additional midfielder

Ive long thought some oddballs have a blindspot with him, id have thought today wouldve shown his value, but no, theres still doubters

Most notably one who still reckons its easy to replace traf

Mind biggles

If Trafford had been in goal this season, we would have 9 points, and would have lost today. Some obviously think it would have been a goalless draw today as Traff saved everything that came his way apparently.

Anyone that has a different opinion to you is an odd ball, it’s a bit tiresome.

It was terrible today. I am away with the Mrs but took the stick and watched the game.

I watched at the end as Maloney and co went to their fans first pumping and hugging each other.

As loads have said they want it more than us. They hate us and we mock em for it ,but time and time again they and others use it against us and we come off 2nd best.

I wish I had left the stick and TV at home and stuck to plan A and  just gone for walk with the Mrs and the dog.

I think Id like to see less Morley and more Thomason.

Dion was missed. I keep championing Dan but today everything bounced off him. Doesnt fancy a header either.

Such Is football we win at Wigan and we still go up. Would just love for once to see a local rival or divisional rival really put to the sword.

Would I take 9 from 12 , yes. But we're looking like flat track bullies at the minute. A niggly 1-0 or even 1-1 (in hindsight) woulda been lovely.

Fair play to Wigan, they seem to be able to always muster  a squad , even this season despite the dog shit they went through.

Onwards n upwards. Three points next week, we're sweet again

He seems to be playing like he’s carrying a knock. Hasn’t looked at full pace for a few weeks.

Shame, we was getting 6 million for him after the Everton friendly

Wasn't a great day for the Baxter > Trafford train, I'd say that. Although on the whole he looks perfectly adequate so far.

I must be watching a different player, I don’t see the physicality in Tomo other than being taller. A sending off waiting to happen in a game against the better teams because his timing in tackles is very poor, eg his booking on Tuesday, that led to his H-T substitution.

He does mis-time some. But not all. Such players will always pick up the odd booking. Just like weak tackling midfielders that dangle a leg here or there by means of a tackle.

He got his yellow on Tuesday trying to recover poor control from Charles- such things happen from time to time.

Our midfield is more balanced when he's in.

As for Charles- as above he mis- controlled it at that instant and does quite a bit. He also played a great ball out wide which was crossed in and converted. He also works defenders so bloody hard, that it helps the likes of Morley and Sheehan.

He also scores goals aplenty, and I'm happy to forgive him some poor control as long as he does.

Don’t get me wrong I agree, he’s poor, but surely anyone that saw the games today and Tuesday would agree he contributed more than Charles? And better than Vic today? That’s all.

Vic and Dion have six goals between them this season, Dan has seven goals in his career at 24. They have quite a bit more credit in the bank than he does.

I like him and wasn't against signing him (not sure I'd have paid 300k) but being just about as good as the other two are on their off-days is nowhere near good enough. He's had two chances to start now today and against Barrow and he's been poor in both.

I'm not sure he'd have conceded the fourth, or looked like a fish out of water for the third

At least he tackles, badly timed or not
