true white Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 My Prozac has kicked in. In Evert we trust. Only 3 points lost. Hopefully loads of lessons learned. Ho we are finished? Ho no we are joint top and win at Burton and we be best team in world again 🍺😁 Quote
Zico Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Well that's blown my optimism for a title challenge right out the water They've got a lot of making up to do with the next two league games also against sides we never beat Quote

Farnywhite Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 The good thing is the transfer window isn’t shut so it’s up to evatt and FV to sort it . We need to replace Johnstone for a start iredale has been poor Quote

gonzo Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Its happened again, its happened again.... That chant will resonate in my nervous system for a very long time. Great chant, awfully well played. Quote
ianofcleveleys Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Late to it tonight, went to watch some young people do athletics to brighten myself up. Everybody's said it all really, a limp, soft arsed surrender, with all the same failings as last season ruthlessly exposed by a smart manager and some strong, fired up players. We still look, despite plenty of summer investment, the same flat track bullies as last season, if anything weaker without any sort of physical DM and Jones / Iredale as wide CBs. Those two were preyed on today and couldn't cope. Johnston looking a huge miss and sooner Toal is back the better. Evatt's moaning about not doing the basics (if he means battling and earning the right to play) is his issue, he persists in signing players of a certain profile, to play the only way he wants to play. If putting their bodies on the line isn't in their nature, or they just aren't robust enough, they won't do it. No real redeeming features at all, other than CMG looking decent 2nd half and Dempsey keeping going till the end. Humiliating day all round Quote
Rizlar Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Calmed down now just hope IE brings in a midfield bastard as we need 1 , I would imagine Toal will be back next game and I also like the look of Forrester. Quote

MancWanderer Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Please don’t anyone put the highlights on here. That was horrific Quote

London Wanderer Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Well still smash it this season. Evatt will sort it. But it’s bonkers the arrogance with which we put Wigan down. Yet they continue to fuck us over every time. And will continue to do so until we treat them as a rival. Fuck em. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Strange thing is that Evatt's comments in the BN this week suggested that he appreciated that we had to battle first. Bizarre. Quote

Its very concerning that Evatt cant get the players " up" for games like this. By the same token, the players also need to take responsibility as well, but im not sure his players are up for a fight, the only way we will get out of this division. Quote

embankment Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Dempsey stood out today . The rest need to show some balls. Baxter should have claimed the ball for the first. 2nd one was a decent effort. 3rd was a bloody mare ,dispossessed in our own half , absolute panic from the back four . 4th I thought Baxter had done enough and was unlucky. Speaking to Trafford after he said he would have pushed it towards WSL. That penalty shout in the first 7 mins and Dion could have made a difference. But they were clinical. Quote
1969 Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Maybe players started to be a little complacent given the good start we've had and with wigan supposably weakened from last season.Hopefully this gives them a big wake up call in that every game requires maximum effort Quote

It was crying out for a McGinley or Taggart today, someone to take control. It's always the same against these. Today they shit us up from the start and we'd no answer to it. If our lot had thought they would get an easier ride today without that Irishman against them they were mistaken. On days like today I'm afraid our captain is sadly lacking in the motivating department. Quote
