You are loads better than that though and I believe you will go up but I remain optimistic we can make the play offs. Our young lads stepped up big time and in a game of fine margins did things correctly.  Thought we may miss Morrison but Watts played well as did young Hughes. Our two young lads in midfield were excellent.  It was just one of them days where nowt went right for you but I've no doubt you'll bounce back after today. Like I said I'm not here to take the piss so ill sling my hook.

Fuck off with your sensible, reasoned posts and go and get pissed

We’re soft as shit. We’re basically flat track bullies. Pass poorer teams off the pitch, but when we come up against a decent side with a bit of fight, we shit out. Every fucking time.

We need to discover a backbone sharpish or it’ll be another season of going out in the playoffs with a whimper.

Surprised how many are giving Dempsey a pass. For a supposed hard man I thought he bottled the challenges time and time again.

We got rolled by average physically strong teams last season like Plymouth away.

We have got rid of our best midfield tackler (Williams), and our best defensive organiser (Aimson) and replaced them with physically weaker players.

So, any surprise?

Evatt got the game plan all wrong for me, all we did is play it down the sides to cross to the central two. Shennan, Morley,  and Dempsey, to a lesser extent were never in the game.

Front two never reall looked like scoring. It was crying out for Thomason at half time to get stuck in. Baxter look shakey to say the least.

Dan isn’t the answer by any stretch but he was better today than Charles was on Tuesday.  1 goal at home since Jan and weak in possession, he would have been part of the problem today ie not up to it physically. Dan was one of the few not to be out of his depth physically, certainly twice as good as Vic who just seems incapable of keeping any possession.

Main gripe on Evatt was how he sets up to defend a corner with 11 back and still not manage to mark their centre forward 6 yards out. And 2nd half 11 back with 3 attackers on the edge, all unmarked. Somebody explain.

From what I've seen of Nlundulu I would rather start with 10 men on the pitch than him in the starting line-up.

Dan will be shipped out on loan to League 2 in about 18 months' time with a record of 40 appearances/2 goals

To me it shows that no matter how many goes DC10 scores he needs to be in this team as there defence had too much time on the ball today

I'd literally rather have Matt Mills or Wheater up top over him. Can't believe he was kept on all game

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. But next time we play a similar, physical team we need Thomasson in and on today’s performance Mendes-Gomez. Drop Sheehan and probably Morley.

Glad that JDB is back, as Dan should not be near our starting 11 in the league games.

I think we focus so much on the technical side when in fact in big Derby matches like these especially, we forget about the rest, football isn't just about the technical side.

You have to be ugly, fight for every 1st and 2nd ball, not backing out of 50/50s, winning set piece dules etc etc.

Wigan do all of this, and until we can match them in these areas we won't beat them.

We're a nice possession team, but unless we play like Man City, teams like Wigan will always do us over as we are weak as shit, physically and mentally.

We need to be horrible bastards as well as a good technical team to get out of this league.

In this game and the 2 other games we have played against them in the past 2 years, I hadn't seen anything from a technical standpoint that made me amazed by Wigan. They are not a good technical team, but they have that mentality and dog in them.

I fear that Evatts arrogance prevents us to learn from our mistakes sometimes.

Credit to Wigan, as much as I dislike them, they more than deserved the win. Unfortunately it all came down to one of the most basic things in football. They just wanted it more than us. Which is so so sad to see in front of a 25,000+ crowd for a Division 3 game.

Our fans deserved better than that today.

Right just got back, shocked by how we rolled over. Wigan better organised all over the pitch.

First goal awful defending, third goal even worse with people just stood watching.

Santos was bullied for 90 mins by Wyke. Iredale was isolated by their number 11 and could not cope. Not sure where Williams was. Midfield just walked through in the first half. I did think Wigans physicality crossed the line but ref waved off the challenges by Wyke and the 11.

I think Fleetwood had more first half chances than Wigan so the writing was on the wall. It was like so many games last year.

Fair play to Wigan but fuck me it was easy.

Wow just wow

IE and the lads you weak bunch

I said before Rotherham, Sheffield & Wigan it can’t happen again well it did rolled over weak men Williams Morley got ripped in fact the only player who can stand up was Paris

Piss poor lads

Wigan are nowt special sat deep roughed us up and hit on break, we helped them by trying to thread ball through eye of a needle into the box, instead of pushing it wide to our wingbacks and whipping it in. Evatt got it all wrong. Fucking embarrassing.

In fact this defeat is worse then the last

last time we had a shit team and theirs wasn’t shabby

All this it isn't a derby shit is fuel for the fire for them.

Can talk about tactics and formations all you want, they just wanted it more today.

Their two lads up front just didnt give us a single seconds peace, on us from the off.

The 50/50 for their second sums it up, lose that, bosh game over.

They wanted it more. They always do.

Just another game though.

Think I’ll go on holiday for a week next time we play them!

Doesn't help you just end up angry stomping round La Louvre and getting extra pissed off with Chinese tourists.

It’s piss poor we need to get over this type of performance otherwise it’s play off again

Wyke and that number 11 were lightyears ahead of anything we've got.

Shithouses, ball winners, strong, physical and bang up for it. That blonde 11 chased every ball.

We had Big Dan in his pink boots ambling round like a drunk trapping the ball further than most can kick it.

Dempsey lost a 50/50 physical thing early on with their tiny number 8 in front of the crazy corner and it was obvious the game was gone then.

Their third goal was so embarrassing, strolling around as though they were on a day out.

If someone had offered 9 from 12 at start of season I'd have snapped their hand off though.

Was not expecting that. Shocked how bad it was but let’s not throw toys out of pram. It’s only 3 points. Still up near top. We be back. In Evert we trust.

It’s definitely not only 3 points, it’s a mauling by Wigan, again. Psychologically it’s huge, and a stain on our history. For a lot of fans that could be the only game they come to in months, it’s damaging.

IE got it wrong he must have known Wigan will get stuck in it’s there biggest game of the season so what does he do brings in powder puffs Sheehan and Morley and doesn’t play the only midfielder who gets stuck in GF!

This is the point. Derby matches have a different meaning that is out of the context of whichever season they are in. Our recent record in derbies that matter (excluding Morecambe, Fleetwood and Accrington) is a disgrace. It needs addressing.

Still top of the league by the look of it

Or not, Cambridge got a 97th min goal and go top.

That was shocking; left at half time and load’s going out. We gifted them all three goals in the first half although we should have had a free kick leading to their second.

Unbelievably we are still top and we have to get back next Saturday to the standard set in the first games
