Luton Town (H)

Big game Tuesday with a biggish payday  if we win.

I am expecting the same team to start from Saturday

It's proper location. When it looked like a railway station not a Lego style bus stop.

  • Nah, if we're banging on about having the best team in the division, we shouldn't be hiding from games, if players can't do 2 games a week, we've got issues imo  Still being in 3 competitions mea

Also partially content that we're out of the cup to help our promotion push for the rest of the season and fixture congestion.

But we can take a lot from that performance going forward. I think we will thrive in the Championship and above with Evatt at the helm, he just might know what he's doing that man.

But for now, let's get out of this horrible league, it's going to take a lot more skill and ability, but also just as much of doing the ugly side of things at small, tight pitches.

Onto Leyton Orient now on Saturday who will certainly ask us to do the following in order to beat them.

Rest in Peace Iain Purslow

All so they can go on the piss in Carlisle.

A nicer setting than Liverpool or South London 😎

Very much similar to the first game, they were better first half, and we had the better of the second half, thomason was an absolute machine for 90 minutes, could potentially be one of his best performances that

Still no idea what happened with the goal, I initially thought the ref overturned the linesman, but I was partially blocked out, players seemed to challenge the ref?

Ref was poor all night

Great performance tonight some blinding individual performances, Thomason, Sheehan, Toal, take a bow.

Stood up well over 2 games against a decent side can take many positives

I’ve been critical of Vic but that was a great performance hopefully this kicks him on👍

the last thing we wanted was extra time and this is for the best imo

on the piss in Carlisle🍺

superb display , hard luck boys, go again on saturday.

hope there weren't many scouts there tonight.

We were all over them in parts, but when they came forward they looked more positive than we did.

Vic, Thomason and Sheehan top Trotters for me, but a great performance all round.

Really enjoyed that. Gave a really good account of ourselves over the two games and can take a lot of confidence from it. Thomason was outstanding. Fuck knows what happened with our disallowed goal.

Really enjoyed the game tonight, lots of positives, we moved the ball a bit quickerer and went at them, heads held high and onwards and upwards to promotion

That was really fun and enjoyable. Apart from the first 10 min I thought we matched them throughout.

I'll have to see our disallowed goal cos I was level with the play and it didn't seem offside in real time

You know that’s lies

I dont get the lack of appreciation for maghoma

He may have been the 3rd best of our midfielders but only because of how good the other 2 were

Good performances all over

I am not seeing it in him. Seems to pass him by but then he seems to produce bits which others can’t.

More than matched them over the three hours and an honourable defeat doesn’t do any harm to the transfer pile up. Probably for the best all round.

Not a single bad performer but special mention for GT. Absolutely outstanding.

Superb night's entertainment, can't remember the last end to end game like that full of chances and shots on goal by both sides.  A breath of fresh air to play a team that wanted to come at us, I'd forgotten what it was like to play on the break a few times instead of always against a blanket defence.

Best I've seen Vic play, superb.

Tomo outstanding as everyone has said, and Sheehan in the 2nd half looked every inch championship quality.  Maghoma too, superb 2nd half.

Very poignant and appropriate tributes to Iain Purslow pre-match and at 71 minutes, well played the club.

Sheehan and GT superb tonight. We've given them a real good test over two legs. Proud of the team

Not too bothered about being out the cup tbh let's hope we can get the 6 points to put us firmly in the driving seat in the league this next week.

He was a million miles behind Sheehan and Thomason tonight. He is bang average.

Agreed. I was worried he was going the same way as Shoretire, bright start then trailing off but I thought he was very good tonight in a midfield that was excellent all round.

His last few performances have been below the standards he set earlier in the season. But bang average? You need to give your head a wobble.
