Wanderers Ways. Neil Thompson 1961-2021

Stevenage (A)

Recommended Posts

Today's results are currently showing the difference between the top teams and the also-rans

Pompey and Derby currently finding ways to lead in tough matches; P'boro and Barnsley inexplicably losing at home.

Next 30 will see which group we're in, I unfortunately think it's the second.

For a game we really need to win we have been very lethargic, something needs to change, our players do not seem to be busting a gut to get the win something doesn't seem right

I think they're trying but the quality just isn't there. Stray passes, running offside, no real goal threat. Fair play to Stevenage - they've had the better chances and should be winning, but from our side we can't string a move together.

Bottom line is we're just not good enough.

A 2nd half performance that has typified our last couple of months really

absolutely nothing created, individual mistakes and general poor decision making and a lack of urgency or quality. You’d never think we were chasing the automatics watching that as a neutral.

the Oxford type of performances are so few and far between. What we deliver more often than not isn’t good enough to go up.
