Paphos is shit.

What was wrong with the place? Been three times and always enjoyed it. That said last time was a few years ago so may well have changed

Fook all there, place is a dump, looks like every building is falling down....most places close early, people are not very nice and just want money.

Can get all that 2 hours away.....so over a 5 hour flight for nothing.

They had very good meat though.

Curse of AI? Loads of once busy tourist towns are dead now because everyone goes all inclusive. We went to Paphos a few years ago and we only left the hotel to go to a waterpark and the local shops. The hotel was very good though.

Yeah could be.

On 3 occasions out, bars / restaurants tried to rip us off....and each place was dead.....it just cemented us never going back to them, or even tipping them.

Hotel would not sell me food they had behind any desk later at night....not even the fruit they put in rooms for free.

Locked out of room and they gave me a new room rather than go and fix the lock....could not be arsed, and left it to morning staff to fix.

Attitude on every staff member was the issue with most of above..

Enjoyed Paphos last year but there did seem to be fewer bars and restaurants in the centre than previous years. Thankfully the odd gem still exists. Probably doesn’t help that the hotels are spread out so far and wide that there’s plenty of tourists who never go anywhere near the marina/centre.

Got to plan out getting to the golf coast for my brother's wedding next October.  Mrs has decided we're going via Kuala Lumpur so may have to call on @Traf tours once the future sister in law decides on a date!

Gold Coast? Does he live there?

Moved up from Sydney to move in with his fiancée somewhere near Labrador.

Just noticed my fat fingers typed Golf Coast. 🤦

I work in nearby Southport. Labrador is a bit mixed and for some reason has a bad reputation (Stabrador) but it's fine in the main.

<Inserts contrived joke> Not dog rough at all.

He's only just moved up there, but her dad's business is based in Labrador and she works out of there.

Not looking forward to the flight as the missus is a very nervous flyer so she'll be stressing me out. Was initially hoping for a solo trip

Ace, every bar had live music Friday and Saturday. Oliver Blunkett Street is the main drag, but plenty of little districts. Marina Market a bit hipster like, but some nice scran and retro football shirt stall. There’s a little boozer en route to the gaol that has its own brewery, awesome pizzas 😂

I recommend the train to Cobh, about 25 mins- cathedral is unreal and decent beers… titanic stuff too if interested. Last call before it sank, there is one pub with a little tribute to the postal baby- youngest survivor whose dad lobbed her in a mailbag

I’d go back

Niiiiice, thanks for that....looking forward to it now, nice little trip before Xmas.

Love the City breaks in the cold too, so much better than summer. Did Rome last summer in a heat-wave....NEVER again.

We did Venice and Florence last Feb. Got lucky that it was 15C and clear skies for the week.

Thinking of Rome similar time but depends if we do another Asia trip

Week before we went to Rhodes, some thick cunt in Blackley asked me if I was going on holiday to the Rhodes next to Simister Island ?

There really are some 🐘 knocking about

Haha my best mate from uni rang me up shortly after we’d left to say that he’d got a job and was moving from Brum to Rhodes and did I fancy calling round to see him. We had a very short chat about the cost of flights….. :D. He never did let me forget about that….
