So just been chatting to an Irish guy at the pool side bar and he reckons they're all owned by morrocans as fronts for more dubious endeavours and the Guinness is shit

The ones not owned by morrocans are owned by English just trying to cash in

Basically, Lanzarote's vape shops 🤣

Looking at a weekend break late October; thinking somewhere sunny, not too far, and catch a game. We did El Classico in BCN a few year back, its in Madrid same time this year- anyone offer suggestions?

Alternatives are Milan (guessing not sunny), maybe Lisbon, but any ideas greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Milan is absolute shit, I'd rather have a week in Benidorm....

Madrid & Lisbon are great cities, can't go wrong with either 👍

Malaga is decent for a city break and the football ground looks decent and you can’t really grumble with palma.

we did Milan in August last year. The food etc outside the ground is mint

Recently did a weekend in Abersoch. I’ve heard and seen all the hype about it so thought I would give it a whirl. Absolutely loved it. Did ”glamping” in a safari tent, the kids loved that. Couple of beach days, jet skis boats etc. had a 3 day pass for the Warren which was good as they had their big end of season party. The weather was belting whilst we were there, can’t wait to do it again next yet and I’m currently pricing up camper vans to really get in the Abersoch clique

@Dr Faustus He's right, Malaga is another great city. Superb bars & restaurants.

We did Valencia earlier this year. Another good un!

Off to Madrid next month, it's the derby whilst we're there....

But we're looking to watch Rayo Vallecano v Sevilla....

To get over the post holiday blues booked to go to Amiens this dec for a weekend. Now we're settled seems daft not to take the opportunity to use our closeness to taking the ferry. Takes less time from here to get to France then to get past the Dartford Crossing 😁

If they're still doing the light show on the cathedral at nights, it's well worth seeing.

I only went cos our lass was keen, but it was ace.

Spent a few days in Lytham St Annes this week, saw Dave Lee Travis in Lytham main Street and im sure i saw Ian Evatt in decorators whites.

At the big matches at Lancashire, I sell draw tickets for their charity, Lancashire Foundation. At the Test match I saw Evatt and asked him if he wanted to buy a £1 ticket.

”No thanks” he said.

”Not even from a Bolton fan?” I said.

He just smiled so I said “Actually, probably no chance off a Bolton fan!”

He then laughed.
He’s got a better set of knashers than Klopp!

Stepdaughter and BF do a few city breaks, Malaga a favourite, along with Lisbon and Oporto. If you're a bit of a foodie Bilbao is also good

Lisbon is a favourite of mine, but Oporto & Bilbao are both great cities.

We went to Milan last year in January and I actually liked it. Only for a few days though. You can do Bergamo or even Verona in a day on the train if Milan is not for you. As for the football, we went to the San Siro but not to watch a match. It’s on the bucket list though.

only stopped for a night on the way back once.

Pretty place, and like most places in France, has a nice chilled out vibe.

Ended up having a few drinks and a meal with a couple of owd blokes who were Chelsea fans ... I overheard them talking about Chelsea in the 1970s and 80s, so I gatecrashed. Turned out to be brothers and a cracking pair of blokes.

And to be fair, they tilted things in our lass's favour by saying we had to see the lights.

Malaga is a great city, been at Easter when they do the parades, I'm not religious but some of the shrines they carry are unbelievable. I've watched Malaga CF a few times with the Guiri Army, went last Dec and going this Dec. There's a bar in Benel that does coach and a ticket for 35/40e, tickets on there own are that, they have loads of ST's. They also do 10e and drink as much Victoria beer has you want before and after the match in Bar Madrid. Mon who runs it was the bass player in Chumbawamba.

I'm back in Valencia in couple of weeks, love the place and I have friends there who show me around, I've done a Valencia match and was at the back the steep stand. The Valencia Fallas festival in March is a good time to visit.
