Leyton Orient (H)

The first of three tough matches coming up starting with Orient.

They seem to have hit some form but hopefully lessons learnt against Shrewsbury should get us a win.

That's how you do it. Adapt to the match win the match We'd have stuck with the one formation the entire game under the willy waver

Did I mention Schuey loves a comeback win??

  • Agreed, and thank fuck it was Evatt that went and not him. The great thing about having Morley in there is that in games where they just sacrifice a player to take Sheehan out, like they did toda

Bloody good win that.

12 minutes injury time 😲, getting too old for this. 2 games in a row.

Frustrating in the first half, seemed to have worked some really good openings but undid them with some really shoddy passing.

Collins was fantastic, as others have said.

Love that we have a manager who doesn't waste time changing things if it's not working.

One game at a time.....

That win was massive we were 6 points behind when they scored and now are all level. A real 6 pointer of a game if there ever was one. Brilliant Whites. 😁

My thoughts too . Huge huge HOOGE win , very happy very proud , halfway pissed !

Horrible time wasting cockernee cnuts, they started from their first throw in around 4 minutes, got what they deserved, I hope Wellens fucks off to Blackburn now and they drop like a stone, cnuts

Im all over this comment like a cheap suit 🙌

Really enjoyed that second half.

Great that was, having our half time pints,( paid for 2 , swiped 4 )from the madri bar, being in that zone of knowing we where more than capable of still winning... and then went and did exactly that. Ya rags like Stockport etc will be fuming a little that we're back in the mix

And Collins is top dog. And probably our prettiest player too.

Mcatee comes in for some shit but he always puts the donkey work in.

Yes but if the donkey work is trying to retrieve the ball after he’s given it away for the 50th time it ain’t much use

Really enjoyed that, a proper football match.. refreshing to see two teams going for it 😎

3 different formations, 4-5-1, 4-4-2 & 5-3-2, not bad for a team that Evatt said couldn’t play with a back four 😤

I couldn’t take my eyes off it yet under Evatt I regularly had to stop myself from nodding off..

it feels good to be excited again 👍

It felt like we won every header at the death

Obviously watching different games. He hardly gave the ball away in the first half. I bet if you compare stats with him and Collins over the season there wouldn’t be to much difference

Really solid performance, love how everyone seems to know there role in the team. Collins is a class act, we lost our momentum in the first half after the time out where there keeper goes down with a fake injury. Sign of the modern game I suppose, thankfully it didn’t affect the result.

Agreed 👍

And thought the atmosphere 2nd half was great, even more so in injury time.

Did anyone think Morley was missing that pen??

Never in a bazillion years, for me

The best way I can describe that game is 1st half we looked like a IE team

2nd half more like a Schumacher team

It was like chalk and cheese, mom for me Forrester, also thought Johnston had a good game.Collins changed the game but all in all we deserved the 3 points

Something really needs doing about the keepers shit housing it's getting beyond pathetic

3 in 2 now, doing his job

It feels so good when we beat time-wasters after they go ahead

Becoming a recurring theme this

Love it!!

Toal injured?

I know he scored and all that,  but has McAtee got it written into his contract that he doesn’t have to jump?

Really enjoyed that game overall. They are a physical side who can also play a bit and latter part of first half I didn’t think we coped, didn’t get in front of our men to show for passes and didn’t win enough second balls. Tutu and Matete not great first half.

Collins made a massive difference and credit to SS for changing it.

Great to be enjoying matches again 😀

Great win that. Confidence and momentum building.

2 key things swung it in our favour..

1) going 4-4-2 at HT. bit of a thankless task for McAtee first half. He’s not going to hold the ball up, he’s not running the channels so he was so isolated and almost irrelevant. What he is, is a pest and put someone alongside him who also gets the attention of the CB’s and he will cause some aggro

2) Putting Collins alongside him but to the left. That’s probably the most threatening I’ve seen him since he’s been here. With space to get in to, defenders to get at it was very much what I think we all expected when we signed him.

we didn’t do too much wrong overall 1st half. If did hark back to a couple of months ago where we had much of the game and found ourselves behind out of nothing. But in game management and the right subs at the right time was key

Is it just me, or did the ref play his part, making it a free-flowing game.

And the nailed on pen.

From a distant viewpoint Collins and macatee seem to buzz off each other on and off the pitch, massively

Second half today is their perfect set up.

Some of the jigsaw pieces are deffo falling in to place together
