What they have found is wildly unpredictable tariffs are harming businesses, Epstein is still a cover-up and Trump has not been the president of peace they thought he would be. Who'd have thunk'it!? It is very funny watching them act as though all this has come as a massive surprise. Either that, or they just blindly back everything he does, even though they fundamentally disagreed with it 12 months ago, and even said so publically. Thick fuckers. Quote
kent_white Posted March 4 Posted March 4 If that submarine operated from Diego Garcia — then the US has used British sovereign territory for an operation that falls well outside what we agreed to. Be interested to see what our "patriots" make of this. Is it OK for the US to do whatever they see fit with us - providing it's on the Don's orders? Quote

Conservative era was marked by a decrease in the size of the armed forces, with personnel numbers falling by almost 16% to 132,360 by April 2024, from 156,970 in 2014. Starmer not only has to consider legality, he also has to consider that he’s taking a knife to a gun fight. Im sure the regulars in Wetherspoons still sit with thousand yard stares and dewy eyes, imagining Our Boys ruling the world with our military superiority, but the reality is that we’re not premier league anymore. Special forces aside. Quote
Sweep Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Did I just see that Trump has fallen out with Spain for not being helpful with regards to letting them use their military bases? - and he's threatening to end all trade with Spain. What a plum 23rd January, this year, Trump said the US didn't need NATO, so why is he now shitting his nappy when NATO countries aren't bending over for him without question? Quote
Spider Posted March 4 Posted March 4 The yanks seem to be doing just fine without us. Leave them to it. Quote

Cheese Posted March 4 Posted March 4 (edited) Hegseth declares - in a Press Conference broadcast around the world - the ship they sunk in the Indian Ocean is the first sunk by a submarine torpedo since WW2. That's how deluded/thick the MAGA lot are. It's mind-boggling how many thick Brexit-loving "SOVRINTY!" cunts think we should be dancing to their tune. Edited March 4 by Cheese Quote

It's probably because he takes part in very dubious commentary that is utterly stupid and easily disproven. I mean he even got himself sacked by Fox, how batshit crazy do you have to be to get yourself binned by Fox? The fact the knob is having a go at Trump doesn't suddenly stop the bloke being a knob. royal white Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Poor show from us this. Let’s be honest we all knew it was going to kick off sooner rather than later so you would have thought we would have had some assets not to far away, but no HMS Dragon is now not due to sail until next week. Quote

Quite. Who's the head shed in the Navy and MOD getting pelters for not having sea worthy vessels to defend UK interests? Quote

Aye it's pretty mental tbf. I certainly don't us taking part in airstrikes and shit but christ we should've at least had some kind of plan together in case it kicked off properly and they came out swinging. Imagine someone had a proper pop at us. Load of rusty old ships and a few Typhoons to defend our shores 🤦♂️ Quote
