Just left Euston. Absolute all time away day. Going forward first half was outstanding, should have been 4 up. Second half was proper steel. @Steejay @radcliffe white @marple whites

Fuck off Wigan

Whatever formation we play he is a must in most games at this level, but especially against these lesser teams. He makes us far better at defending all the crosses in and set pieces, and is a massive unit to contain physical strikers.

100%. The recent run of winning without scoring many has coincided with him being in the side. Solid, combative and helps protect the keeper in those set piece melees. We look like we can grind out clean sheets with him in there.

Genuinely might go down Wigan, they are absolutely cack.

Great first half and what a good goal, it feels like years since we have scored a goal like that. Refreshing. Should have had a few more, but some poor finishing again.

I wasnt as concerned about 2nd half, we were not a good but never really felt that threatened.

Another 3 points, onwards and upwards

Lincoln are looking like a proper outfit

Going to have to go there and beat them now

I shouted out Reeves - Philliskirk¡!!! 🤪

Missed part of first half, saw last 20 and all second half. More of a scrap than it ought to have been but lots to like about how the new lads fitted in and performed first half. CBT good finish, Apter unlucky with that curler.

Dalby and Forino two proper battlers at either end, Erhahon stuck it out to the end having looked knackered at FT on Tues. Bonham did well right at the end it that scrum from the corner.

Chance for some rest and a much needed light week now, most of which should be spent with all of them twatting balls into the net from 18 yards. Only gripe to take out of today, at least 3-4 powderpuff efforts that rolled into keeper's hands, and at least a dozen over the last week or two. Put your laces through it FFS!

I am not convinced Tutu is comfortable at right back but that fella was a handful down their left wing.

EE was excellent and Dempsey made some good tackles.

Impressive debuts for the new fellas, well done.

I'd be shocked if we didn't look at their number 30 who came on Nkeng. Just 18 years old, and terrorised us that 2nd half, 8 successful dribble take ons Really impressive player.

It’s hard to win away games. 3 points, clean sheet and they had no attempts on target.

After Stevenage conceded 3 (so far) and Cardiff conceding to Burton, we now have the best defence in the division. A platform to push on with and the new attacking players certainly gave us some fresh impetus in the first half.

I enjoyed that one

I think with Burton drawing, they’re in the drop zone

(as it stands)

Good result some very good play but we must take advantage of all the chances we create other teams are putting 3 past the lower teams looking like playoffs again though as Lincoln looks good

Thought first half there was a bit too much space behind Johnston. Tutu is very fond of taking an extra touch & losing possession, they brought the winger on & targeted him , agree he is uncomfortable defensively. He has much talent but tends to maybe think he’s better than he is. Tbf he was outstanding at Stevenage & good at Mansfield so it’s inconsistency than prevents him from playing at a higher level.

Shooting practice this week hopefully with McAtee & Barstow given a bag of balls each & a set of goalposts to aim at !

13 points from last 15

3 clean sheets on run away from home.

Never in doubt.

All the usual suspects will spend the next week talking about the second half.

I'm celebrating that 2nd half as much as the first.

Last time we took the lead in the 1st half away and didn't concede an equaliser (v 11 men) was October 2024 at  Stevenage.  We don't do hanging on away, to win we have to score late.  Hopefully a corner turned.

Been saying for a while that ball kicking isn't 1 of our strengths

I find it puzzling.  We see shots flying in at L2 level every week never mind L1, but we seem to lack the basic skill to pull the foot back and put some power behind a shot or even cross.  Cissoko played well generally but he epitomises this, every cross or shot is weak as piss, hard to understand how they get to this level without that basic ability.

Very similar to the 1st goal at Northampton October 2024.  Instead of Apter, McAtee, CBT it was Santos to Schon, great crossfileld ball and McAtee finished well.  Both great goals.

I know why we don't/can't, but I wish we could play on the counter more often

We're usually really good at it
