Matt Lofthouse Posted March 1 Posted March 1 If we do get 2nd leg home advantage we really do need to make it our advantage and that’s south upper only for the away fans. Like the Barnsley play off game would love to see South lower full of wanderers. Quote

Matt Lofthouse Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Still rather half of South upper for away fans, further away from the pitch with less influence. Quote

masi 51 Posted March 1 Posted March 1 I know it is a bit of a kick in the bollox for season ticket holders, but why not make the home leg of the play-offs a tenner for season ticket holders to bring another. Would fill the ground and give the away end the least possible. Quote

We wouldn't be allowed to unfortunately. It's 10% or 2k minimum that you have to give as the away allocation in play off semis. So playing Stockport would really be annoying, get a measly 900 or something and then have to give them the 2000 in the south upper. Reading would be the ideal team to play in the play offs: they've been rubbish and we'd get at least the 2k Quote

Arrested development Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Stockport would be a ball ache for getting tickets so for that reason i would rather avoid them. Quote

Wanderlust Posted March 1 Posted March 1 If we finish 3rd we will probably have already got the results we need in the run in including Stevenage, Pompey, Cardiff and Bradford away plus Stockport, Luton and Huddersfield at home so if we are in the kind of form to get through that lot unscathed, it really shouldn’t matter who we get. However if we go into that run in with a decent enough cushion from our March games, there may be a case for resting players the moment our playoff place is confirmed. Personally I wouldn’t but there’s always a risk of injuries. Quote

Teams can cap it at 2k in the play offs which is what has happened between us and Barnsley, if that's what you mean? Or if you mean in the league matches v Stockport it's different rules, which is where we end up with 900 or so Quote

First leg Friday-Sun and the second midweek. 10 days off before the final. All at dogshit times for TV. So get ready for a Friday night or Saturday morning in Stevenage. Quote

Stig Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Back on topic, I'd want to avoid Wycombe. Morley would no doubt have a blinder and they've just signed Lowe who will do much more for them than Stockport I imagine Quote
jmjhb Posted March 1 Posted March 1 I think the EFL dictate a minimum price for the playoffs also. Could be wrong though. Quote

Also there were 24.5k on vs Barnsley in the second leg a couple of years ago at £20 a ticket. Absolutely zero chance the club are going to give up hundreds of thousands of pounds by doing cheap tickets. And nor should they really. Quote

Fine by me, only 45 mins away. They're a faff especially with the daft allocations, but I think i prefer having a week between legs rather than our 90s play off campaigns of only about 3 days between them. Quote

Leyther_Matt Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Stockport Mainly because I don’t want to play them at Wembley Quote
