Ani Posted May 17 Posted May 17 We are on first train out Leeds get to London half 10. An hour to get from Kings Cross to Wembley so say 11:30 This allows for some northern ness using tube. Want to be in ground for a reasonable time. There is really not much time for pubs. Assume those on coaches from Bolton will be there earlier. Quote

Eddie Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Boozing in Wembley, under the stands is well underrated. Think we’re going to aim to get in there earlier than we have done on previous visits. Giving the shit timing I think we’re just going to do spoons, tube, into Wembley. Quote

Going to do the same, our train has us on the minutes a bit. Bars on that middle tier are excellent. Quote

Getting in there earlier this time. Like an airport lounge on that middle row. Even has a gin bar and pork shop. Quote

freds dad Posted May 17 Author Posted May 17 Best way from Euston to Wembley please gents. We are getting there Saturday afternoon so no need to rush. Quote

Euston - Marylebone - Wembley stadium Wembley Central is a bit of a walk though you can get the overground there from Euston Quote

Exactly, decent pint options (yes they’re a bit pricey but so is everywhere in London really), easy to get because it’s so well set up, surrounded by Wanderers so there’s a good atmosphere and you can finish your pint and just walk upstairs to your seat - they really did set it up well. I wouldn’t do it at many other stadiums but that’s the plan this time around. Quote

Little shop on station to beer for the short journey brings you at right end for us this time Quote
W.cramp Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Paid 6 quid parking (I,m a passenger) at ruislip manor tube, spoons across the road from tube station, be there for 8.30ish. Booked in box park and tgi for 11. What can go wrong Quote

L/H White Posted May 17 Posted May 17 (edited) Yeah another for getting in ground earlier, they had a Camden Hells beer setup where we sat last time Miles better than queuing in those dump pubs Edited May 17 by L/H White Quote

Aye - I presumed it was all over, but I’ve realised the last 2 times (can’t remember Stoke) I was in the middle tier so maybe it’s just that good a set up in there. Are you heading down mate? Let me know and I’ll grab you for a drink if we can make it work. Edited May 17 by Eddie Quote

Plenty of food options and plenty of space in lower tier. Upper tier is a different story and I'd stop at a pub till kick off Quote

Leyther_Matt Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Not touching pubs near ground. Will see what we can get around Euston for breakfast and pints, but fully expect to be in the ground for 12 at the latest Quote

RUREADY2ROLL Posted May 17 Posted May 17 So what’s the present status with the middle tier? Are some blocks not being opened (well not at the moment) and has all opened blocks sold out? I know I can’t get our tickets until tomorrow at 10 but it’s frustrating not being to see what’s presently available Quote
RUREADY2ROLL Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Also need a young adult client reference for my grandson if someone can PM details Quote

Then lower for Oxford and was surprised how much space there was and plenty of food and beer options - seemed fine to me. I'm not after the ritz Quote
RoadRunnerFan Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Staying in Watford Sat and Sun night. Breakfast in Watford then get in ground early for beers in middle tier. Quote
