Smiffs Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 What suprised me most was that despite there being lots of police and stewards, and a lot of partisan behavior, they let folk enjoy themselves. Normal folk were sat in normal seats enjoyng the game in total safety with their wimmin and kids, notrights made created a beltin atmosphere, jumped up and down for 90 minutes and lit countless flares. It felt like it was the most normal thing in the world. Sporting fans sat in the Benfica seats with their mates and partners without some chav giving them grief. There was a happy medium. The orange warriors were there to show you to your seat and give you a light at half time. Maybe one day the Reebok can create the same.
brixton Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 p.s. i trust we will be seeing bobcap in there !!! Only if they do free face painting!
MickyD Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Only if they do free face painting! I'm sure they will be doing!
globaldiver Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 This is good news - we got what we wanted - even though it might have taken a fans liason officer to make the club see sense. We still need the club to play some motivational BWFC videos and play "my world is a football" prior to the game, but we have no real excuses now, lets have some beers and get behind the team and get us winning games. Lets face it with Meggers in charge, the team needs all the help it can get. Bloody 'ell, we've got it all.
Tombwfc Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 This place is gonna be dead now theres fcuk all to moan about.
MichaelJohn12 Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 My mate and I aren't actually 15, nearly twice that age and I wasn't claiming credit for the idea, merely stating that my mate had sent an email to Zico suggesting this!! But thanks for the concern about the art of wanking tho......think I've got it nailed now!
MichaelJohn12 Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 It was my mate who sent the original email to Tony Kelly to suggest this idea! Very impressed it's now happened! Not exactly claiming it for his own. Thanks for that mate! Good to see you read it properly ::
bolty58 Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 But thanks for the concern about the art of wanking tho......think I've got it nailed now! So you're named after two gospel figures and are 12? W@nking? You will burn.
MichaelJohn12 Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Superb retort.....one I cannot come back from apart from saying I'm not 12.....kudos!

Ghana White Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 Just got back from holiday and I can't believe Bolton have actually done this... Short of ripping the seats up on the North Stand Lower Bolton are doing everything they can for the fans... Thank god I've got Lisbon to moan about because fans wise, they're finally working with us. Feel like we may be making steps to returning to the club I felt proud of supporting, and made me pity Boltoners who supported Liverpool and united, but had absolutely no connection to those clubs or areas... Fair play

Fair play Have to agree with everything you say, Bolton Wanderers Football club, is special not just because of the history that the club has, but also because of the fans, Bolton people who support the club could have easily defected to City/Liverpool/Everton/Man city and Blackburn, all who have had greater sucess than we have over the last 40 years, for me that makes Bolton fans a special breed and makes me very proud to be a white.
