So are we calling Gardner back from PNE then? If his knees hold up he can do a job in the centre til end of the season covering for MDavies when needed.

cant imagine his knees will make the end of the season, though

I am gutted and I wish him all the best in his recovery. We need to wrap Cahill and Wheater in cotton wool cos if one of them gets injured or suspended then that would be a complete nightmare.

Big comeback for, step up, please, Mr J O'Brien

What about Taylor and Muamba in the middle ? Chungy right and Petrov left.

Mark Davies in when fit and still got Cohen.

I am as gutted as the next men, but come on - we still have a strong squad.

Cohen should not be under-rated. He's no Stuart Holden but he can do a job and deserves a chance.

Scotty parker ffs

Is this the parker who passes the ball backwards 9 times out of 10 times but gets praised because he wears his hear on his sleave.

Most overrated player in the premiership

I feel really bad for Stu, besides the upcoming US games he was set to play in, we were expecting him here in Houston this summer to play in the Gold Cup as well as the Bolton friendly. And I know how much he means to yall at this point in your season. I hope the Houston game with yall is still on for the summer even if Stu can't make it. I know he would love to bring his teammates and fans back to his hometown to show it off, and to show where he got his start. Good luck the rest of your season guys.

Not what we need at this moment in time

I did exactly the same thing but on Leverhulme park

When they say 26 stitches and it sounds bad, thats because he had to have surgery when he went straight to hospital to have it cleaned out and that makes the wound deeper so they stitch inside and out.. mkes it much stronger..

He'll be back twice the player he was.. such a great attitude towards his foootball and us fans..

Probs one of the only players that actually interacts with us fans!

I found out the other week that Burnley had already paid for Holden's accommodation and digs in the UK when Coyle jumped ship ! So, as its a curse of mine to look on the bright side of a situation, we are lucky to have him and he will hopefully be much stronger next season and less likely to get the attention of the bigger clubs during rehab.

If Cohen and Mavis can step up to the plate well b reet.

Don't understand when people say Mavis needs to step up. When he has played this season he has been one of our better players.

Just when he has got a run in the team he has been either injured or suspended. Along with holden he would be my first pick in centre mid.

If anyone needs to step up it is Muamba, and if anyone needs to step off and keep walking it's Petrov

Thanks for the message....but this is not the Dukes of Hazzard. :D

On a serious note, Stuart maybe overwhelmed by the support he is getting now but it is important this support is maintained in the coming months. He mentioned on Twitter that he was officially a trend on there earlier this week, he will soon be yesterdays news and will need the fans to continue to support him then. Sure the club will be good at this.

Stuart has had more than his share of bad luck, especially for a lad of 25.

In no particular order -

1,Face smashed to a pulp by some Geordie moron.

2,Ankle injury ended his season soon after his comeback.

3,Lost his father to cancer.

4,Leg broken by De Jong ruining his World cup.

5,Busted knee - out for 6 months, missing an FA cup semi final (and possibly final)

Kinell, when i was his age i thought i was having bad luck if i hadn't copped off in Ritzys by 2am.

On the flip side, played at the highest international and domestic levels and shown himself to be a better human being in such a short period of time that 99.9% of footballers possibly couldn't even conceive.

From what I have heard if you had copped off at all it was a blue moon and a woman so drunk she couldn't stand or see anything. :yahoo:

Its a big blow losing Holden there is no doubt about it.

Probably worse than when Cahill was diagosed his health problem last season but we managed then when Zat Knight (who at the time was many peoples scapegoat) did a marvelous job and we pulled through and stayed up; no problem.

We have Muamba, Cohen and Mark Davies to fill those 2 positions allow Mark Davies and Cohen both seem to be injury prone. We will be alreet and I sure the squad will put that extra effort in to get us to the cup final.

I know its hard not to critisize the likes of Muamba when he is having one his poor games (and I am as bad as anyone for moaning) but now is the time to start to encourage the guys by singing their names when they fack up.

And this is a bad thing because?

It's the "blue moon" bit that was inaccurate :D

That was meant to be you dropping them on a cold night. I used to go there many many years ago; is the building still standing?
