Can't fault his effort, just wasn't good enough to play in a 4-4-2, plus ?2.2m for him was a very good deal.

when two players from burnley cost 3 million, I'm not sure I agree

Or maybe this is just a big rooze and coyle will follow this with a cahill deal and steinnsson and muamba will go next so he can then buy a ginger wig and try and resign them all to keep you happy??

If we sign NRC I think we'd accept bids for Muamba dont reckon coyle rates him either

Falls in the bracket of, player that will get a good reception from me if he plays against us.

Always gave his all, scored some very important goals for us, was vital in keeping us up a few seasons ago and left very amicably. :good:

He's a premiership player and will be very very good in the championship IMO.

I wish him all the best and it's another reason sadly for wanting WHU to do alright. Just a shame the team can't do well without their twatty fans benefiting. I can't see anything but them coming straight back up.

I wish him well.

A player that gave his all but just lacked in quality.

I don't think he lacks quality but rather pace, he's looked to struggle physically for a couple of seasons now.

With our most natural left sided player leaving, does this potentially mean the kid from Barca is looking promising?

I know we have Petrov, but surely Coyle knows he's a liability.

Posted

He'll be a better Championship player than he was a Premiership player.

Maybe we could sort out a poll for the beginning of the new season so the sheep know which of our players to boo!

Was there for us when we needed him most and scored some vital goals but time to move on for me.

Think he will do well in that division as will Nobby. Can see WHU bouncing straight back up.

How long before Dioufy joins the reunion?

I make it that Taylor is the 9th player we've let go this summer from last season's under-strength squad.

Pending confirmation of further signings, Pratley remains the only incoming player to date.

As a statement of the bleedin' obvious, OC has a lot of work to do in a short time.

I'm well aware of all the rumours on this board, Micky.

Has anything been confirmed on the official BWFC site yet ? No, nothing.

Or the Bolton News ? "OWEN Coyle wants four more players ahead of the new season. And Burnley duo Chris Eagles and Tyrone Mears are understood to be among his most wanted men."

I'll modify it then ..... just for you : "Pending official confirmation of further signings ..... "

Am i the only one slightly gutted? Matty Taylor was a good steady player imo, not many players cover the ground he does over 90 mins - and even if he was not a first 11 player, he was still a good squad man.

Covering ground isn't enough nowadays. Technique was sadly lacking and that is what we need if we are going to progress and keep the ball better

I don't get this view that Taylor had poor technique; you can't strike a ball like him if that was the case

As someone else has posted, it's his monopace that is the only thing that really let him down

Superkev, you have just posted about Taylor and muamba.

And both paragraphs just left me shaking my head.

Have you actually watched these players or are you just regurgitating pub talk?

There is a pug faced balding Bulgarian who is earning twice as much who currently has delivered fuck all!!! I'm not sure I can say I'm pleased about this, but wish Taylor all the best. He worked his bollocks off for us, each time he wore a white shirt, and was one of players who dragged us from the brink.
