Garrp Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Ngog Pratley Reo-Coker Chris Eagles Tyrone Mears Tuncay Dedryck Boyata Kakuta I make that a net spend of about -450k add in loan fees and i reckon we are about level massively reduced wage bill much younger and improved squad really, really impressed we have one seriosuly good squad
MickyD Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Most importantly, still kept the services of Cahill.
tomski Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 A very well done on Cahill and the deals in. Can't believe the club held there nerve against arsenal and spurs!

A plus 1 from me, well done to the hierarchy at BWFC
Alf Hartigan Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 i'm pleased with the signings. will ensure an 8th to 14th position. would love to see what he could have done with 17 mill for cahill
MickyD Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 THing is, they realised that a deal done on deadline day reduces the chances of getting a replacement in. Cahill on the field is a lot better than ?12m+ in the bank.
HomerJay Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Yup I'm happy...providing the 2nd batch of signings turn out to be decent
jules_darby Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 It's a bit safety in numbers for me; we seem to have alot of similar players vying for midfield slots if we're sticking to 4 in midfield I'm not sure to be honest, really not sure
gonzo Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 (edited) moved into cahill thread...too much going on ere!! Edited August 31, 2011 by gonzo

Not disagreeing on money spent Alf Just thinking variety I'm not pissed off or owt just a little worried Maybe it's still from Saturday
birch-chorley Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 very happy indeed, get the tough first 7 games out the way with 6pts in the bank and then a clear run of fixtures through until January. Can see 30pts on the board by the time the next transfer window opens up. COYWM

Hopefully 1 or 2 of these signings will add some real quality but maybe i'm being a bit pessimistic in thinking that i can't see too many game changers in there. The squad definitely has more strength in depth but I think calling it 'seriously strong' is a bit ott.
oggybwfc Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Very pleased with incomings and outgoings, there are alot worse out there.
superjohnmcginlay Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 wait til utd beat us, it will be the worse window ever
royal white Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Thought we would have gone for a much needed full back
athywhite1958 Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 wait til utd beat us, it will be the worse window ever Come on SMcJ, Optimism is the primary word from now on for Bolton fans COYWM

I am so annoyed we made Charlie Adam look good, as I believe he's Championship player at best. Anyway, our forward line is looking better than ever, let's see if Coyle can get the best formation. Will be interesting to see our next 11, there will be changes..
athywhite1958 Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Your right silly me I'm just glad the 'window' is now closed, its all bollux with greedy fuckers going where their agent has got the best cut from IMO/allegedly [big E, your windows in Holland are still open] lets get on with supporting the whites, COYWM
