MACCA Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Im positive we'll stay up. We WILL beat Villa WBA and Stoke. Then we can sit back and do it all over again next year. Quote
MalcolmW Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Saturday's match could have gone either way, but the Tiffy-Taffy's were more deserving than Bolton. I think the Villa match is massive. From their viewpoint a win is virtual safety, a draw is probably enough. From Bolton's a win is almost necessary and a loss would make relegation more likely than not. Wolves are in a 'hopeless' position today. Nothing less than beating ManCity can keep them up, and even if they do that they have to go to Swansea next week and win, etc, etc. Quote
madthatter Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Our goal was well worked and finished. Defenders (bar their goal) looked up for it and together. Massive pressure on Villa to get a result. It would be just like Bolton to go and nick a win Oh and didn't they all have lovely tans! Quote
frank_spencer Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 So far both JayC/TSO/anewman/diddles and MK have suggested Steve Bruce would have kept us up. Just so i'm getting my facts right would this be the same Steve Bruce that got sacked after he had Sunderland in freefall? Quote
onefinfrandsen Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Flood the midfield, ngog has to play uptop, villa have more to loose than us in a way. as ngog gets tired then is the time to unleash sordell. Quote
only1swanny Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 the cheeseburgers are cheaper inside than outside ! Quote
tarian1979 Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 There is a genuine chance 36 points could keep us up. wigan will beat wolves, qpr will beat stoke we need 2 wins and 2 draws or 3 wins. gonna be very very tough for us Quote

Id rather stick with coyle, hopefully next season, with holden n lee back, it'll be business as usual Quote
frankietheman Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Let's face it we'll have him for at least one more season unless a) Gartside takes an early bath or We have a stinker in the championship - assuming the unthinkable happens. This is simply because c) Gartside does'nt want to lose face and admit he dropped a bollock in appointing him and d) We can't afford to pay him off. Quote
tarian1979 Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 grim if he is in charge after taking us down (if it happens), id hope he would walk Quote
only1swanny Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Positive thinking.. We have a younger team and the club is working towards becoming cost effective and reducing controllable costs. We are I'm the worst debt ever after so long in top flight so maybe relegation might help this Quote
SpiritofBurnden Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Hughes would have kept us up easily and so would Steve Bruce Hughes has spent a fair amount at QPR and still might not keep them up. As for Steve Bruce... Quote

Flood the midfield...............with who we do not have any midfield players which is why we are in shit.... ngog up top...........the man can not stand up release sordell..........the man can only sit down postives....last time we were in so much shit we had games at villa and in the north east we took 3 points from those two games.......I would take that again. Quote
SalfordOriginal Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Positive..... There are still games left of this season for Coyle to find his best formation Quote
marple whites Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 3 wins needed. Being ultra positive, we could be out of the relegation zone by the time QPR next play !! Quote
