athywhite1958 Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Never had issues with PNE until we met them on the services [Hilton Park] coming home from Pompey around 1976, loads of them had leather jackets with PNE on the back in hells angel type studs, there were only 17 of us [we set out with 18 but......] and a couple of coaches of them, needless to say we got a bit of a hiding, hated them ever since, cnuts Quote
Con Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 PNE forum, Coyle topping the poll but many think he wouldnt go there, "a more realistic name" ......Megson http://www.pne-online.net/forum/showthread.php?79432-New-manager-poll Quote
mannyroad58 Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 I couldn't give a flying fuck about them in fact i never even give them a second thought they mean nothing to me We had a bit of bother with them before the play off final, about 20 of us we're having a quiet beer and surrounded by the cunts outside a boozer and 1 fucker threw a beer at one of our lot as he walked passed, we gave it to them big time, they fucking shit themselves, tables chairs the lot, we gave them a fucking good seeing to, got a black eye for my troubles but it was worth it. HomerJay Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Any personal experiences Homer? Have you met him in a lift in Australia? Words of staff and players at the club. Well ex players, so maybe they're a bit biased But even the fans know he's just a complete tool Quote
enzo gambaro Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 But even the fans know he's just a complete tool There's enough evidence on here to suggest that's not a cast iron source, surely. Quote
Carlos Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Winner, I've looked him up on Wikipedo, 2 league games for Barnet? What a winner! Quote
1andonly1derer Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 A friedn of mine I used to work with was a massive North End fan, went to a couple of games when we played on a Sunday/Monday. He passed away in summer aged 26 so we went to the game against Yeovil to celebrate what would have been his birthday last September, and I couldn't belive how poor the standard of football was. They've had some fall from grace and I know a lot of supporters are very disillusioned with the way the club is being run at the minute. Next appointment is a big one for them. Get it wrong and it could be League 2 for them. Quote
Carlos Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Likewise, the season after we relegated them in 93 I saw them play Hereford and it was utter shit. Not much has changed eh. Quote
Whites man Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Next appointment is a big one for them. Get it wrong and it could be League 2 for them. They've been there before more than once, this time at least they have a ground which isn't falling to bits (although BWFC helped with that in 1985). Quote

Was that the last game of the season? We played them two years running in 83/4 and 84/5 and I seem to recall some fun and games at Deepdale on both occasions. Quote
Eddie Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 One of my housemates for 2 years at uni was a PNE fan, he's a top lad and never had a bad word for Bolton so I always wanted them to do well. It helped as well that he was the only one in the house that supported a club that was going through a shitter period than us for the last 2 years. Villa on the other hand, I hope they get relegated without getting another point Quote

Danny G Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 I dont mind PNE at all. I lived there for 6 years and went on a few times. Decent set of lads. Quote
MickyD Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 I dont mind PNE at all. I lived there for 6 years and went on a few times. Decent set of lads. Just one step up from Bury in the who's who of football supporters in Lancashire. Quote

gonzo Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Graham Westley just been in the studio with Durham... Seemed alright to me. Quote
GeorgeOghani'sIroningBoard Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 PNE have only one function, to lose 1-0 at Burnden Park to a McGinlay penalty to put us up. Other than that, ballocks to them Quote
smithills_gent Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Have Preston got a better manager than we have? I think Grayson is a very good appointment. Quote

gonzo Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Preston North End were pioneers of Football hooliganism! They started it all by running Villa. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2001/dec/13/theknowledge.sport?INTCMP=SRCH Quote
