tomski
He did... The earliest case of this I remember and was still quite a 'new' injury at the time. Was never the same afterwards. It's amazing hearing some old pros describing injuries that finished their careers from as recent as the 80s that are now so easily recovered. You're right about Walker it took his edge off, where as if it were now he'd probably made a full recovery.

When I fooked my ankle the surgeon told me that if I had sustained the same injuries 15 years earlier there would have nothing they could have done bar fuse my bones together in my ankle therefore leaving it a stump! Remarkable how quickly things progress. But by the same token I would have been about 7 year old 15 years previous so wouldn't have been walking home from the pub. Do you actually believe that last paragraph mate. Everyone knows you don't get hangovers when your younger so the likelyhood is you'd of been at the pub every night ha. finbwfc
Worrying. I just hope he makes a recovery. He missed a good couple of years with knee Ligament and shoulder injuries before he joined us - and no-one at the club can play that role
jules_darby
These days they can recover from ACL reconstruction quicker than 9-10 months It's a safe outlook though I like saying Mavies, it's efficient IMO Oh and he's the type if lad that needs to be very careful with his fitness/diet whilst he's injured, it hell return the size of Jan Molby Jules 2 ACL reconstructions down and awaiting a new MR scan. Oh and fat as fuck with it

You can operate without an ACL so in theory you could try and play on

passmosster
Why did medic let him go back on pitch??! He's obviously from the "run it off son" school. Probably got his training from the one that got Stuart Storer to play more than half a game with a broken leg.

Probably got his training from the one that got Stuart Storer to play more than half a game with a broken leg. As Casino has said, can it actually get any worse once it's gone? I dunno. Is it just a case of if it's fucked it's fucked?
Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted March 4, 2013 Site Supporter Share Posted March 4, 2013 My guess is they were hoping he'd carry on for 5 mins to give Holden time to have a decent warm up rather than thinking he could run it off
