Cheese Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 You don't say? Even though. He wasnt within 150 miles of either , I thought he knew it all Silly me Have you had another early start on the piss? I wasn't talking to you Jazza. Quote
Ani Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 That lad wasn't that tricky.....he was only ever effective going on the outside; which he did every time - you could see it a mile off and I said so to Boltimore about 5 minutes beforfe he did it again for the penalty - that tackle was dogshite. And Butterfield was throughout. Ironic cheering will not help him at all though my point was he was left one on one a lot, it was clear after first 15 mins that everything Leicester did was down that side. to be very clear i am not excusing his performance, junior is a statto and was saying on way back Butterfield did not play last year due to injury and this season not in the team, so he is basically a 1st division player lacking match practice/fitness. The decision to play Vela and Butterfiled both of whom lack recent match time in such a crucial game seemed strange before the game and more so as it went on. Quote

I disagree of sorts Gumbo and I both commented how much Eagles was back helping out first half Not so much second half granted I thought Vela's inclusion was correct and many times the 3 in midfield did well chasing and harrassing; don't forget it was 2 minutes of madness (a couple of bad individual errors and very good play by Wood / a great finish by that Winger) that led to their goals first half....other than that we looked like a very very good as an away side 4-5-1 was the right way to start last night for me Quote
Eavesy Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 451 would have made sense if butterfield hadn't had a mare and eagles was more controlled in attacking and positioned on the right. If we had 2 lees on either side, it would have been reet, despite him having a generally poor game. Quote

jazza Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Have you had another early start on the piss? I wasn't talking to you Jazza. . Yes cheese But wasnt a dig at you Apologies Quote
salop wanderer Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Dream start again but with the exception of Hull, we haven't been able to press on and impose ourselves in games. Leicester would have been nervy and a second would have turned their crowd. As it was, two in three minutes had the place jumping. Smashing game spoiled only by the outcome which could have gone either way. Great turnout with excellent backing apart from the boos for the wretched Butterfield. That won't help the lad but he was garbage from first to last and was very lucky to come out for the 2nd half. Fat Frank would have defended better. Plenty of twists and turns yet and relieved the Red Dragons made it last night - they'll be on the piss now for a fortnight. Quote
DirtySanchez Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Can anyone beat missing 3 of the 5 goals? I managed that at Barnsley. Quote
M G WHITES Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Stu Holden got another hour for Wednesday last night - will they bring him back and play 4-5-1 with him instead of Vela? Fuck me i fogot he played,he was shite now i come to think of it. Quote
M G WHITES Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Cracking second half that. Doubt we will see butterfield again, however our fans reaction to his sub was embarrassing . Chungy needs to stay on his feet more, although the last decision in the 98 min did look like a pen. I would happily play Leicester again over two legs and I also reckon we need 7 more points. Nope,it was a £100 of a job last neet,he deserved everthing he got when we are spending that kind of money midweek, useless wanker Quote
Eavesy Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Fuck me i fogot he played,he was shite now i come to think of it. The lad did alright. Not much he can do watching butterfield sand wedge it out every 5 minutes. Apart from the pen and dyer goal we kept them at bay pretty well, and vela contributed to that nicely by getting stuck in a few times. I'd like to see him in a game where we are on top ala wolves as he normally likes to get involved in building moves. He came off as he was the obvious choice to come off when we went 442. Quote
Cheese Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 . Yes cheese But wasnt a dig at you Apologies Good man. No worries. Quote
QFPants Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 my point was he was left one on one a lot, it was clear after first 15 mins that everything Leicester did was down that side. To be fair it was exactly the same at the reebok against them. Can't remember if it was Mears or ricketts at right back that night but dyer looked a world beater then for half an hour until e went off injured. Not quite the same threat with Konchesky bombing on in his place. Aside from the result I really enjoyed last night. Medo impressed me again; only remember him giving it away once Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Fuck me i fogot he played,he was shite now i come to think of it. Was very surprised Vela played, he looked goosed when he went off after an hour in the U21's last week. Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Leicester for me have been the best side at the Bok this year. Quote
MalcolmW Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Leicester for me have been the best side at the Bok this year. Cardiff and Hull definitely weren't! Quote
athywhite1958 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Spotted squidgy, smiley, garp, oli, mgwhite, jazza, ani, mountskipper, Don't you remember the Athy lads outside The Counting House? Quote
famouswanderer Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 my favourite song from last night "3-2 down who gives a fuck! We're the super whites and we're going up!" Great turn out last night. Beat Boro and we will still get in the play offs. COYW Quote
roybarker Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Blame the manager his selection of Butterfield was crap, the guy got skinned against Huddersfield, was total shite last night ,the fans got it right,he should have been subbed at half time -the fans wouldnt have had to get on his back then Quote
CSW Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Don't you remember the Athy lads outside The Counting House? Wasted 20mins drinking time queing up in there! Moved across to Local Hero to catch up, three times as many staff on so easily managed to catch up. Quote
desperado Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I saw Jules and most of above Edit to say Smiffs looked fuckin huge from a distance.. I don't mean fat... Just fuckin huge Edit again got pic taken with desperado And his mate who's name escapes me .. And even by my standards I look pissed I will post it later Yes it was me and CSW, good to see you again. As for the game , really enjoyed it (can't remember saying that too often when we have lost), agree with the comments about Butterfield both in his poor performance and in not getting on his back. Ricketts looked twice the player when he came on. At 2-2 I really believed we were going to go on and win it. The team, even with the changes in personnel and formation, gelled together really well. DF and his team need to take a lot of credit Spent the whole journey back analysing the remaining fixtures and form and I'm still no nearer to who is best placed to get those 3 remaining slots in the play offs! Quote
