MichaelEP Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 We are going to win the Championship next season ITK FACT! Quote
The True Marple White Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I think it was a case of stoke over again...relying of results elsewhere, and you can't do that!!! Quote
DomRepWanderer Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 All over, but not the end of the world, next season will be our season lads and lasses. Quote
snowball Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Not too despondent. Next season will be the one. The only' if only 'about this season for me is , is if only we'd have sacked that clueless twat earlier. As it is brighter days are ahead I'm sure Quote
worthy10 Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Why start with one up front and a lad who's never played for us? Soon realised at 2:0 down that he'd got it so terribly wrong. So much good work undone in 20 minutes. Ah well Quote
mickbrown Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Think Dougie got it wrong at the final hurdle. That said, he's done a hell of a job since Xmas and I've seen enough to think we'll piss it next seaaon. Quote
AylesburyWhite Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Naturally gutted but mixed feelings too. Two years ago. my then boss (a Leicester fan based in the US) was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which is one of the most destuctive cancers you can get. We'd enjoyed a lot of football banter over the years and although I am sure this wasn't the only deciding factor, he recommended I should be promoted to succeed him over the heads of some probably better qualified candidates. He has declined dramarically of late and I was in the US last week hopimg amongst other things to see him. Unfortunately the end is nigh and he was too ill to see me but we had a nice but poignant and difficult conversation about this weekend's permutations. I doubt he will get to see the results of the play-offs (although I think this is helping him hang on) but he has passed his enthusiasm for Leicester on to his two daughters (same ages as my own) and I for one hope that they go on to win their way up to the Premiership. Good on you Robert - it's been a pleasure to know you. Quote
snowball Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Yep he got it wrong there but hopefully he will learn from that. I don't know what position Hall was supposed to be playing either. Thought he was supposed to be a winger? Quote
Boby Brno Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 3 months ago, I never thought we would be in this position so it's the only consolation I can take out of today. Looking forward now to next season, onwards, upwards and hopefully automatic promotion. Quote
jayjayoghani Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 what are the odds on a season unbeaten? oi, get in the queue! if we just miss out, in spite of a late storming run, may I be the first to predict us going unbeaten next season http://www.wanderers...l/#entry1172953 Quote
Reebokboy340 Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I'm gutted and deflated I can't understand why he played one upfront and why he picked hall just baffled me Knight wasn't as solid with out Dawson next to him. As for the blackpool fans winding the bolton fans up walking to the train station Lost my temper with one he won't forget coming to the reebok in a hurry. A few of them looked in a sorry state on the way to the station Quote
captainmed Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 DF has rejuvenated the team in the last 3 months. If he had made an impact when he came in November then we would gave gone straight up but it took him too long to get going. Without the unbelievably naive selections of butterfield @ Leicester and hall today then we would have made the play-offs. He's new and lacking experience and today it showed with his startingline-up. His remit in November was play offs as least requirement. He's failed at that but I am more confident for next season than I was at the beginning of this one under OC. Quote
SatanGreavsie Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Th'East Midlands Whites are not long back and are deflatedly trying to cheer up by looking at a glass of vodka half full raised to Bournemouth and hopefully Brentford away next year. Cunt wont be half full for long though. Quote

Marc505 Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 (edited) I saw jazza today at half time and it reminded me how brilliant following wanderers is. Get your knotted hankeys out its Bournemouth away. Ill love you forever wanderers, by far the greatest team the world has ever seen. Edited May 4, 2013 by Marc505 Quote

So much good work undone in 20 minutes. Ah well agree if you took a poll of say 20000 bolton fan,I would bet not half a dozen would have named that team, just left a bit of a bad taste Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Considering I was firmly in the "let's stay in the Championship" camp, I'm still absolutely bloody gutted. We've known from previous experience not to rely on others, but I was really disappointed that we didn't come flying out of the traps like we did against Hull. Still, certainly can't knock Doogie and the boys for the turnaround. Been a hell of a campaign, and I'm gutted it's over so suddenly. Quote
EyesRight Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Blackpool got mullered, mate who works at chorley train station said they were handing out baby wipes! Same time next season? Hide and seek champions!! Quote

superkev Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Noticed most of the crowd did one sharpish at the end. Clap them off no matter what. Roll on next season. Quote
EyesRight Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 they'd never live with us when we turn out,not a chance. One of our lads was on the phone to one of theirs claiming a victory, haha! Bouncing for next season! Quote
