I'm a malbec drinker usually so owt that's similar.

Chocolate Block; only £23, but really nice

Stags Leap Cabernet Sauvignon, a budget stretcher, at £66

Ive got a highly-regarded Jauma, recommended by them, but only £23 or so.

Then I’m keeping a bottle of the Frogs Leap Merlot, at £40.

I haven’t tried any of their Malbecs.

Popped to Lidl earlier, replenished my wine rack, tbf they generally have a decent set of wines, even though the last one I bought a couple of months ago corked

Anyhow, i purchased 3 bottles of red, 1 Malbec, 1 Merlot (Italian) and a Hardys Shiraz, all for £17 .... and the Shiraz was top, proper smooth 🍷 👌

Bargain! I buy most of my wine from Aldi these days. Bought a box of this yesterday... Really nice and a fair price. https://www.aldi.co.uk/portuguese-douro/p/075724270716800

It’s a brilliant wine for the price that one. Top notch.

Decent wine for 6 quid that.

I am trying but failing to cut down on the wine intake, this is not helping matters.

It’s a pandemic, you may never see another!

Mate, I am 11 stone now. I have the build of Mo Farah so I look like a pregnant pencil.

It is not good, not good at all.

Get on the turps, the weight will fall off.

So will your skin. But no pain, no gain.

Very nice

There’s a Pinot I bought from Aldi earlier. Tried a bit (naughty as I’m not drinking weeknights) and it’s very nice. Not a classy Pinot, I suspect some trickery has gone on down on the mexi-Cali border, but it’s got the tang on top of the smoothness that you need in a Pinot.

It’s called Beachfront. £6.00. A good effort for that much.
