jules_darby Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Interesting that the naysayers are cast as scrotey, know-nothing libertarian boo-boys, while those who defended the club's right to make a business decision seem to have canonised themselves superfans. Has the club's ability to make decisions diminished now because more than a handful of folk didn't like the last one? Fuck me, there's been grumbling on here for years about the club not taking any notice of the fans. Are we grumbling now because they're listening to the 'wrong' ones? See, that can be spun many ways Are the club fools for the QQ thing in the first place? Or fools to back down to pressure? Or wise to have taken the cash off the highest bidder? Or wise to have listened to their customerbase? See it all depends on your pre-persuasion towards Garty and co I reckon Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Getty shoe-y surely? I misspelled 'getting' as 'getty' but left it in as it can't possibly make the pun any shitter. Quote
Astley White Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Heard on GMR this morning how Fibrlec will appear on shirts 'for nowt'. Is the club getting any cash at all from them? Quote
DazBob Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Well, the four and a half thousand who will now be buying shirts, tickets and spending cash at the kiosks should mean we'll not miss the money ... Quote

Carlos Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 So we've gone from a very high bidder to fuck all? Yet these window lickers will complain when don't sign anyone? Bravo Garty, Cliff, Hilling et al. Quote
no balls Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 So we've gone from a very high bidder to fuck all? Yet these window lickers will complain when don't sign anyone? Bravo Garty, Cliff, Hilling et al. this is my issue. So where's the money coming from? Have the local politicians thought about an alternative. Wankers Quote

Sweep Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 So we've gone from a very high bidder to fuck all Looks like it, some were saying that £200K is chicken feed anyway, so why would we miss it? Quote
no balls Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 council tax rebanding? should be cheap up that rough end of town anyway How much are you lot in Bury paying these days? Quote
BOWTUN BAKED Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 council tax rebanding? should be cheap up that rough end of town anyway This. Be assured, I'd be highly surprised if we've lost out here. If cash isn't being given by the new sponsor, expect there to be 'cost' savings from elsewhere or 'funding' for some bullshit educational grant or such likes. You'll notice it as your council tax goes up that little bit more next year Conspiracy theorists are getting the details together now & Garty will have a big fat wedge hidden away too. Booooooooo! Carlos Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 I'm surprised that the NHS trust that Councilor Cliff made millions disappear from, that Alan Duckworth is now involved in, isn't the sponsor. A few hundred K must be easy to liberate. Quote
Guest Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Free 'leccy for The Reebok - including floodlights on at random times again. ITK. That's about 10,000 windmills taken up for the night If the wind blows Quote

That's my problem with this, I'm very impressed with Bolton for changing it but the idea of Morris getting any glory for it after all the damage he's done to the town whilst being paid a fortune makes me sick. He's a bandwagon jumping free loader Quote

mickbrown Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 This has had 'massive balls up' written all over is from start to finish. Makes you wonder if the club just employ folk with shit for brains as a policy. Our own little care in the community project maybe? Quote
