One of the owners of fiberlec is a massive Bolton fan. Fair fucks and good luck to him I say.

How much is he going to spunk up to fill the hole in the business plan?

If no fucker was going to use Quick Quid because they're 'loan sharks' what is the issue with taking their money/

If you need to use a payday loan complany, find the one with the best interest rate.Don't use the one just because it's on a shirt FFS.

If you don't it's a non issue.

The only coverage they would have got is inside the ground, and 60 seconds at a quarter past midnight in a Saturday.

I cant quite understand this, we had a pitiful protest and a poor turnout at the town hall, and yet it got TV coverage and it made BWFC to back down ? Don't get me wrong, I was dead against it in the first place, but you would have thought Newcastle United would have been the first place to attract coverage having a loan logo, Blackpool don't give a fuck what they have on there shirts.

BWFC obviously looking for a squeaky clean local sponsor and the money was secondary. I would not be suprised if its been driven by Eddie Davies this sponsorship.

aye giving out loans, with crippling interest rates

Eddie would hate that....

The 'Boo-Boys' have grown as have the Facebook campaigns against the club and Clifford as mentioned earlier or so they think. If the sponsors would of been throwing as much as the Camel lashers at Citeh into the pot with the promises of Messi, Ronaldo and Ebanks-Blake would they still be morally wrong for the club and the protest we've had? I hate these protesting tossers who think the club is theirs, I'd rather have QQ than them.

Maybe the loss of one or two sponsors and the fear of no one buying the shirts helped, I doubt it was motivated by love of the fans, and more by the love of money -or losing it !!!

Didn't think that would happen, personally I don't have a problem with QQ on the shirts, but fair fucks to those that did and actually did something about it.

It's nice to know the club does listen sometimes

These protesters are I would guess in the main supporters so have every right to have a view on this.

If last week the new sponsors, shirt and badge had been announced as they currently stand everyone would have been ok.

We are in a decent place as club, end of last season we started to play miles better, the board do listen to the fans all we need now is RV back.

Who buys the shirts ? The club has reacted to a reaction from a number of fans.

Earlier this week there were two groups, one who wanted the sponsor changed, they are now happy. The other group who did not care who the sponsor was, they presumably still do not so are no worse.

Given no financials have been announced hard to say anyone has lost out over this.

3 month old company spunking 200k (as thats was the qq figure rumoured) on an advertising campaign.

Hmmmm

And considering the logo doesn't actually give indication as to what they do. It's down to people researching them.

I wonder how many leads that 200k will generate this year.

Spot on. I don't do Facebook or any of that bollocks but am glad they have changed their minds. Yes people have jumped on the bandwagon but I know lots of season ticket holders and proper fans who did not like this sponsor being on the shirts. If you have the name on your shirt you are promoting that business

Only in Bolton would having the local university and their breakthrough discovery as shirt sponsors be seen as a negative.

It's very positive

Interesting that the naysayers are cast as scrotey, know-nothing libertarian boo-boys, while those who defended the club's right to make a business decision seem to have canonised themselves superfans.

Has the club's ability to make decisions diminished now because more than a handful of folk didn't like the last one?

Fuck me, there's been grumbling on here for years about the club not taking any notice of the fans. Are we grumbling now because they're listening to the 'wrong' ones?

Do you really this the new sponsor has paid 200k? Really? Honestly?

There is almost certainly a bigger picture here, which you'll see unfold over the coming months.

Electricity is still produced most easily by combustion. We can't 'grow' more coal and fossil fuels, we can grow trees...

When we're winning the Anthony Axford's Premiership title in thirty years time, thanks to the sponsorship of Energy giant Fibrlec, everyone will remember where it began... :)

Some of the criticism of Bolton University is unfair also, they take on, I know not for altruistic reasons, but they take on nontheless, many folk who's chances studying in Higher Education would otherwise be nil. Including many who missed out first time round after leaving school.

Oh aye, if we didn't have students living in the town (due to the University) it probably would be a case of 'last to leave turn out the lights' in many areas.

I was in Northampton last week and they all looked a bit shifty to me. I know why now.

Were they getting shirty?
