Stuart Holden has got to be one of the best footballing role models out there.

The lad has been so unlucky so far, but he has that burning desire to get back playing, he never moans about his luck and always seems to have a smile on his face.

When you look at some of the miserable overpaid wankers playing with a scowl on their faces, it's just not fair.

Whether Stu makes it back to the level he was at or not, you can't fault his effort, commitment and attitude.

Playing?

Surely not

He said so

Stuart Holden was speaking to Fox Sports on Friday night giving his opinion about the USA World Cup qualifying campaign and also gave an update on his injury status.

When asked about his scheduled recovery time, the Bolton midfielder said:

"I tore my ACL in the (Gold Cup) final and, for me, it was a major setback. It was crushing at the time, but, once again, I know what I have to do to get myself healthy and there's no unknowns like there was with my last injuries. The surgery has been done and I'm now nine weeks post-op.

"I'm doing some great work rehab-wise. I have just started slow jogging and building my strength up, and the next 2-3 months are going to be exciting for me because I'll be getting back to playing.

"The plan is, by December, I'm looking to be back out on the field. I'm stepping up my rehab, in terms of doing some ball work, stepping up my fitness and getting that core fitness back just to make sure that my knee is comfortable in cutting in and all the hard turns and little things you experience in a game."

I will be amazed if he makes anymore than 5 consecutive games for us without breaking down, yes it would be a great boost but for me the lads finished

That's a possibility but I prefer to look at Ricardo Gardner an Peter Reid who both came back from a succession of bad knee/leg injuries and this was the first time this knee has failed him,

Stu will be back for the second half push for promotion and he will rip this league a new arsehole.

COYFWM.

Then he will sign for wigan when they go up.

yes you could be right but if he does come back I doubt he would be the same player I think the best thing is to forget about it,and if he's back then great that's my take

He's got a great mental attitude, but he is too positive, I honestly believe he conned the medical staff after his first injury, Villa was way too early for him, Dougie played a blinder sending him on loan, and he showed great for them slimey Yank cunts(sorry but personal) given the right time of recuperation, he will be the player we saw the last time he wore the shirt, of that I have no doubt, oh and being the sorted guy he obviously is, he will stick by us, no way will he do the dirty on us.

Edit...... Johnny Evans die you cunt.

everytime I hear or read about him it comes across that playing for the USA is the be all and end all for him, after being injured 2nd time round playing for the USA(still dont think he should of been playing in the Gold Cup-should of been doing pre season with us) I think BWFC should be his 1st aim and concern and world cups should play a back seat.

Perhaps because US media outlets are the only people interviewing him and questions are therefore linked to their interests in him.
