Our timetable of events to celebrate the Football League's 125th Anniversary

This coming Saturday, the Clarets welcome Bolton Wanderers to Turf Moor as we mark 125 years of the Football League.
 
We are delighted to confirm the following events, which will take place ahead of 12.15pm kick off at Turf Moor. 

11.58am: Pre-recorded tannoy announcement, introducing the Football League’s 125th Anniversary 

12.00pm: The Football League has produced a special 125th anniversary film - featuring some Clarets fans - which will be shown on the big screen. 

12.05pm: Burnley supporter Freddie Moss, 4, who stars in the film, to be introduced to the crowd.

12.06pm: Football League Chairman Mr Greg Clarke to make a formal presentation to Burnley Chairmen John Banaszkiewicz and Mike Garlick pitchside, commemorating Burnley’s Founding membership of the league. 

12.10pm: Teams to emerge to a guard of honour, made up of 10 legends from Burnley and Bolton Wanderers to celebrate the league’s anniversary.

BURNLEY: Colin McDonald, Brian Flynn, Jimmy Robson, Andy Lochhead, Jim Thompson, Jimmy McIlroy, Paul Fletcher, Colin Waldron, Ian Britton, Derek Scott 

BOLTON:  John Thomas, Warwick Rimmer, John Byrom, Syd Farrimond, John McGinlay, Garry Jones, Paul Jones, Peter Nicholson, Neil Whatmore, Ian Seddon 
  
The captains of each team will each carry with them onto the pitch a specially commissioned football. Both teams will pose for a unique team photograph with this ball following the handshakes and ahead of kick off.
