The young Spanish girl at my practice for the last two years for my check up would be the one not to miss a loose tooth out of place, today a young Chinese wench will be giving some oral treatment.

I need a dentist to pull a back tooth out that's fucked. Beyond repair just yank the fucker out.

Not having been on one for years what does one do?

It's a ten minute job surely. £30 max?

Last time I went, got offered extraction, root canal filling at £120 or titanium tooth for 2 grand. Two fucking grand. I'd want a mouth full of gold for that.

I had root canal on it maybe 20 years back and I swear its been invented by the Devil himself. Fucking barbaric act, there's war crimes covering less.

I had another one pulled out by some Saturday morning emergency butcher up Ince. I'm sure it was about £15. It was about 10 years back in fairness. He offered root canal. He got told to fuck spiders and rip the cunt out.

Thats my two visits in adulthood.

I'm hoping my third wont take long. Or cost much. Or do I have to go and pay for every other cunts who's sat in there too.

That'll be my next rant. "Sat in the dentist, room full of people, and I am the only one fucking paying for the privilege". Or sommat.

I've been 4 times in last 15 years and paid on two of those occasions

Always tend to be in good nick though the bottom row looks like a graveyard

Resent paying so was delighted it only cost £18 for a check up last time out bout 2 weeks ago

Though do have number of dental clients at work and seen too many "before" shots for my liking, though half the time I find the price lists more disturbing

NHS is £18 dor a check up

£49 for filling / extraction ( ie. another £31 on top of the checkup)

                        Next band is about £350

Edit, band 3 is (only) £214

  • Band 1 course of treatment – £18.00
This covers an examination, diagnosis (including X-rays), advice on how to prevent future problems, a scale and polish if needed, and application of fluoride varnish or fissure sealant.
  • Band 2 course of treatment – £49.00
This covers everything listed in Band 1 above, plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal work or removal of teeth.
  • Band 3 course of treatment – £214.00
This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2 above, plus crowns, dentures and bridges.

My root canal involved drilling 22mm down to the bone with a bendy titanium drill bit, filling it with bleach for 15 mins then filling. Hurt like fuckery for weeks until I got an abscess that exploded. Been right since.

I had one out recently. As you describe, tooth's fucked, more filling than actual tooth, etc. Anyway, it had been giving me some pain for a few days, Oil of Cloves was working but only for a few hours at a time.

Rang my dentist and they fitted me in as an emergency at close of practice hours.

Tooth out, bill was <drum roll>

£18.00 Had I gone as a normal patient it would have been £40 ish.

I still don't get it.

See that's what I need. In and out cheap. I don't want him to moan that's I've not been this century and pole around sommat that's not broke. Can you just ring a dentist up and ask them for a price to rip one out?

I'm in a Denplan and I've been wondering for quite some time if it's worth it. I haven't had treatment for years and I'm paying £18 a month for just two dental and two hygienist visits a year.

As soon as you cancell it your face will cave in.
