Disgusting that decision. Groves was tiring but had been far better up to round 8 and deserved more time. How the fuck two referees had it 76 75 I don't know. Shocking. Far better 'boxer' groves froch is a toe to toe slugger type who slaps round the Head with open palms. Wish groves had won. Hope theres a rematch. Watched it half pissed on a pretty poor stream (and crucially missed the first 3 rounds), but I wouldn't have been surprised to see froch win quite soon if it had carried on.

 

Should never have been stopped, and I'm sure that groves was very hard done to on the cards at that point, but Jim Watt is a know nothing cunt so people shouldn't let his commentary blind you into thinking it was as big a travesty as it was.

 

Groves was excellent, but looked spent to me. Froch was walking through his punches, and the couple of exchanges befor the finish was either clinging on to froch or, more dangerously, turning his back on his opponent.

 

Might watch it sober later and disagree with myself completely mind. If froch ever had any doubts about getting in the ring with ward again then hopefully this will make him reconsider.

Shocking decision by the ref to stop the fight when he did. The judges scoring of the fight was just as bad too. I'm a fan of Froch but he only won 2 rounds at the very most in my opinion. Hope Groves gets a rematch.

Terrible stoppage but British refs do stop fights early. These blokes were probably reffing back when Michael Watson was allowed back out for the 12th round when staggering around, brain bleeding. There's a sensible medium but it's hard to find in the heat of the moment.

 

Froch WAS about to stop him IMO.

 

I've no idea why Froch is copping so much flak, it could be argued that the ref cost him a great comeback victory.

 

Not to mention that Froch took a shellacking, his head was scrambled throughout the fight from a heavy KD, but he still was on the point of turning it round. He deserves respect if anything
