Big E Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Come in the Germans.....just got 2 tickets for the game. Buzzing
stevieb Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Germany for me too. Impressed by their national set up of turks, Polish, Austrians and Ghanaians and the odd German. I have been impressed by the French this tournament too, thought they would implode and be out in the first round, like us!
Casino Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 (edited) They are everything we wish we were. Not just in football but life in general. really? twice as many muslims in germany than in the uk i know thats not an issue for you, but... Edited July 4, 2014 by Casino
bgoefc Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Mostly Turks me thinks, and from what I experienced over there they tend to integrate well. Anyhow it has to be Germany for me. The sum is always better than the individual parts, every time they turn up. Proper team. Germany v Holland final.
Casino Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Mostly Turks me thinks, and from what I experienced over there they tend to know their place when our new left back was there, even the geordies were preferred to the turks
magic legs Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Tour de France starts over here tomorrow so allez les bleus
DazBob Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Germany for me, purely because I backed them to be the best European team before the tournament kicked off.
tarian1979 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 8 remain and the dream Germany Argie final is still alive though i think it will end today with victory for the French. Very shaky at the back Germany and if they persist with Lahm in midfield and the awful Howedes at full back its goodnight
bolty58 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 History. Germany can take France whenever they feel like it. Nothing has changed.
Mounts Kipper Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 I think the Germans over rated think the French are the better team although you can never rule out Germany, I also hear 7 Germans down with Flu, lump on France.
COYW Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 (edited) There was something on 5 Live last night about how France should have been one of the lowest ranked teams in the entire competition because they'd qualified via the play-offs and yet just before the draw, when they should have been in a group with two other seeded teams, they were allocated 'pot four', which meant they got a much kinder draw: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/world-cup/10491764/World-Cup-2014-draw-England-group-of-death-scenario-gets-tougher-as-seedings-and-pots-announced.html "It had been expected that England would remain in pot four and that France, as the lowest ranked European team, would be grouped with the African and South American teams in pot two. That team could not then be drawn against Switzerland or Belgium – the weakest of the eight seeds – and would have to face one of the top four South American teams as well as another European country, such as Italy or Holland. Sepp Blatter, the Fifa president, went into little detail when asked yesterday why France had not been automatically placed in pot two." Edited July 4, 2014 by COYW
Guest bwfcdan Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Wait a minute. Has someone stole my thunder by making this thread? Fine. I'm okay... No really, I'm fine. I don't want to be here anymore...
tarian1979 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 All the unseeded European teams went in the same pot
Zico Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Wait a minute. Has someone stole my thunder by making this thread? started yesterday as well, on a non football day, so def trying to steal your thunder #attentionseeking #twat
Zico Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 ps this weekend I'd like to see Colombia, Costa Rica and Belgium win not arsed either way with France or Germany
COYW Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Difficult to decide between Argentina and Belgium. Belgium have only played well once and Argentina haven't been much better. I'd like Columbia or Holland to win it, rather than the usual suspects. Although if Holland win it, will that leave England as the biggest underachievers in world football?

That's my thinking, someone new to win it. Can't really see Costa Rica doing it but either of those two could. Not too sure about Belgium, OK but nothing special as yet. I want Germany to win later but have a feeling France might do 'em especially if they get an early goal. And yes, yes it would, sadly:)
L/H White Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Really looking forward to tonight's games Germany and Colombia
