Mounts Kipper Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Where's best place to watch with a pub, beer garden and nice view? Quote
Henry_VIII Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Lion of Vienna or retreat. Park near Deane Church just down from the Vulcan and walk down the clough. When you get to the bridge watch it there for a bit, you can see the coming along the canal, it's a great spot especially if you know someone doing it as you can see them coming and get plenty of pics and it's fairly quiet. Then you can carry on walking to Chorley New Road and get a drink in said pubs. Be warned it will be busy there. I can't make it this year but FG is usually there with YP and a few others. Quote

stevieb Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 I'm sat watching a steward stopping cars every few seconds. No one adhering to the road closures. Fucking numpties Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Just had to pop up to Wingates. Bit of a trek in the end but not too much bother really. If it is only a half one, then there does seem to be a fair length of road closure. Quote

Burndens Bogs Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 The road closures are a pain in the arse, why don’t they just fuck off somewhere else and do it, we’ve had our turn for long enough now. Quote
Guest Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 It’s only for half a day, no big deal. Horwichers out watching in their pyjamas with a fag. Quote
